Pet care experience
After growing up in a home that always had at least 3 dogs, I have been forced by landlords to live without furry companions for the last 2 years. I get by with volunteering as a dog and cat companion and clinic volunteer at the Santa Barbara Humane Society and watching my friend's animals when they need a break. If you need a little help getting in a walk or someone responsible to love and care for your pet while you're away, I have 5 years professional experience and would love to lend a helping hand. I have not only had dogs of all shapes and sizes in my own home, but worked with a multitude of others with differing personalities at the Humane society. I also have a love for cats and have worked with all different temperaments and types.

2 star rating due to lack of communication and the condition of my apartment when I came home. My dog was taken care of so no complaints there, but the bathroom was a mess, bathtub was full of soap scum, found food in the bedroom and under the bed along with a vape pen. She still has my house key as I never got it back.
On the positive side, we came home to a safe and happy pup and overall clean home after a weekend away. However, this booking with Kayley was overall a stressful experience as the main issue was communication. We very quickly stopped getting check-ins and updates that should have been coming in every visit. We tried to reach out to her through the app and by phone without answer, and we almost cut our trip short as we were not hearing anything from her. She did eventually answer, so we got some peace of mind and finished our trip, but the remainder of the weekend we still did not get consistent check ins even after emphasizing their importance. We just did not know what was happening through the weekend and if anything was going wrong. Thankfully all seemed to be in order on our return, but it made for a very stressful trip.
Unfortunately the communication just wasn’t there. When a person runs off with your house key and fails to return it....it can be quite concerning. Hopefully this sitter does the right and returns the key....however she’s very unresponsive as usual.
Great service and very responsive. I plan to book again.
