Ivy Loves new dog friends!
Pet care experience
My name is Kaylee and I absolutely LOVE dogs. My fur-baby is a 1 year old miniature Golden Doodle named Ivy. I can honestly say she is my best friend! I currently live with my parents (Brent and Jill) while I finish my last year of college online. I work part-time and often work from home, so I would be able to spend an abundance of time with your dog(s). In my spare time I am typically found outside, at dog parks, shopping and doing anything that involves spending time with Ivy. I live in a rural town about 45 minutes outside of Kansas City. If distance is an issue for you, I am happy to come to you and pick your dog up OR Ivy and I can even watch your dog at your own house if that would make you more comfortable. If that is the case the price / night would be $15 more. My yard is basically a giant field (40+ acres) set far away from any roads with a fence marking the property line. While your dog stays with me, if it would help you to feel more comfortable...I can keep him/her on a leash while outside at all times. OR your pup can run their hearts out while being closely supervised...your choice. There are two other dogs that live with me (my parents) full time - a 3 year old Black Lab named Kevin, who loves other dogs. And a 13 yr. old Maltipoo named Ellie who pretty much rules the roost. If your dog isn't keen on hanging with other dogs, or is a bit of an introvert, I have plenty of space to keep your dog separated from mine! I know how it is when I leave my Ivy...I want to make make sure she is as comfortable as possible, and that the transition is as seamless as can be. I will do my best to ease not only your baby's anxieties, but also your own. Any other questions? Just Ask!

Information Kaylee K. would like to know about your pet
I really accept all dog breeds with open arms! I have had every kind of dog...Schnauzers, Maltese, Poodles, Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Pugs, Pit Bulls. The only kind of dog that I would be hesitant to watch is one that shows aggression towards other dogs. I say this simply because I want to protect my own baby. So, my only questions would be...Are they aggressive towards other dogs? Do they urinate indoors frequently (I'm not opposed...just nice to know). And, Do they have a tendency to chew on furniture (so i can be prepared).
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks At my house we have 40+ acres of property. On those 40+ acres, we also have 3.5 miles of walking trails. Ivy and I frequent that trail (its one of her favorite things to do). Weather permitting...Your dog will make very good use of the trail with us! As previously stated...Your dog will be walked on a leash unless otherwise requested. Your dog's sleeping arrangement It really depends on what would reduce your dogs anxiety the most. I know night time tends to be the most stressful time for dogs in strange environments. My own dog Ivy sleeps in bed with me. However, the family dog Kevin has his own room (as seen in the pictures). Whatever makes your dog more comfortable is where he/she will sleep. If he/she is used to sleeping in a bed, he/she will sleep with me! If they are used to sleeping alone, they can sleep in their own room OR with Kevin...or in a crate if thats what they typically do! :) Time I'll spend with your dog On any typical day I am normally AWAY from my own dog about 5 hours a day. The remaining 11 hours my dog is pretty much glued to my side. Your dog would be no different. You can expect your dog to spend about 11 hours a day with me.

Why I love dog sitting I have literally been a dog LOVER my entire life. I can't even remember a time when I didn't have a dog! It sounds cheesy...but Ivy (my dog) completes me! My first dog was my best friend...I had her for 17 years! Now I have Ivy and i can't imagine a life without her.
