Hi there! I’m Kayla, and if i’m not the biggest dog lover on the planet, I gotta be pretty darn close. I grew up always having dogs, and rescued my first dog of own almost 4 years ago. Best decision I ever made! Her name is Pineapple and I’m pretty convinced she’s my soulmate. She loves her life being raised by a single millennial who works from home.. talk about spoiled! That said, since I have the space and am always home, I’d love to open my home to other dogs as a space for a fun staycation while their parents are away. Come on over! There’s a big basket of toys 🍍 doesn’t mind sharing, and I have plenty of love and scritches to go around. I grew up with Boxers and Pugs so I’m very confident in handling both large and small breeds. There’s a great dog park only a block and a half from my place, so while I don’t have a yard I can easily facilitate lots of activity and exercise. 🍍 is a really sweet girl with a pretty chill disposition and gets along easily with other dogs. I’m sure they’ll have a great time playing and chasing each other from the elevator down the hall to our apartment door! I’ve also fostered dogs for a couple different rescues, so 🍍 is used to having new pups in her space and doesn’t mind sharing. One of the rescues I still volunteer for is called Peace of Mind Dog Rescue which specializes in senior dog care. So if your pup is older or requires any sort of medical care to be administered, I have experience and know I can handle it. I know how anxious I was to have a stranger take care of my 🍍 at first so I promise to take care of your pup the same as I wanted her to be. Lots of love, snuggles, and a good bit of fun. Can’t wait to meet your pupper!

Kayla was super sweet - this was our first time leaving our puppy, and she answered all my questions, was great with communication and updates, and super flexible. Our dog came back happy and relaxed and clearly had a great time. Will definitely be using her again!

My pet care style is honestly pretty lax. Pets are allowed on my furniture and to just kinda play and be themselves. I don’t currently have a crate so unfortunately will not be able to facilitate crate training exercises. Although my day to day style is a pretty chill, I have a lot of experience with training exercises from my time fostering and also being a Wag walker for lots of different dogs with different needs. If there’s any sort of disciplinary task you’re working on with your dog and you want to make sure they stick to that while you’re away, just let me know and I’m more than happy to keep that up. I’m quite a flexible person by nature so if you just communicate your wants/needs for your pet I’ll be happy to do it :)

As I have a dog of my own, it’s non-negotiable that any dog coming into my home is dog friendly. My top priority will always be the safety of ? and whatever other dog is in our home, so if your dog does not easily get along with others I kindly you ask you book someone else. Other than that I do not have size or breed preferences. However, if there’s anything specific about how you would like your pet cared for I ask that you let me know. If I don’t receive any specific instructions I will just integrate them into my daily routine with ?. Examples of specific care are: amount of exercise needed, training exercises, medical care, number of daily trips to potty, off limit treats, etc.
A typical day
I have a ton of toys at my place so there’s lots of things here for fun stimulating play. My neighborhood is super dog friendly, so walks will likely be very exciting meeting lots of new friends and discovering all the fun smells of Hollywood (lol). There’s a great dog park a block and half from me that I take ? to most days, so there will be lots of fun and exercise as well! I don’t know if snuggling counts as a fun activity, but I love dogs sm and am very affectionate, so they’ll definitely get lots of love and snuggles from me during non-active play time.

Availability
I share a small PR company with my business partner whose based in NYC, while I run all LA operations. Basically I work for myself from home, meaning I have LOTS of flexibility throughout the day. A typical day with 🍍 is a 20min walk around 9am followed by breakfast, then either to the dog park around 5-6pm or an hour long walk sometime in the afternoon/evening (depending how hot it is) followed by dinner. I’ve trained 🍍 to only need to be taken out twice a day, but again, Im home all day so if your dog requires more frequent trips outside we can easily make that happen.
