Hi! My name is Kayla, and I am looking forward to working with you! I grew up around dogs, horses, and all sorts of animals. I'm currently a dog mom to my two sweet pitties, a bull terrier, a golden/husky mix a aussie/border collie, and a number of cats!. I hold multiple certifications in dog training and run my own dog training business (New Frontier K9)! I have plenty of volunteer work with local shelters and humane societies under my belt. I am comfortable around all types and breeds, and, as a former runner and avid hiker, I can keep up with any dog's need for exercise! I have experience with reactive dogs and various behavioral issues so I’m comfortable handling all types of situations. PLEASE NOTE: My husband accompanies me on all housesitting jobs. He has also passed a background check. Please let me know if you would prefer to meet both of us during our meet and greet, or reach out with any other questions!! While I don’t accept dogs into my own apartment at this time, I always prioritize safety. I make sure the door is closed so pets cannot slip out the door. I make sure collars and harnesses fit properly and dogs are leashed before I open any doors. When going in elevators, I always make sure to check for others dogs before stepping out. Additionally, I always ask permission before allowing dogs to play with others in dog parks

A typical day
As an avid hiker, I would be thrilled to take your pup on a long, tiring hike so they can spend the rest of the day tired out! We can also go for runs, play fetch or frisbee, and of course, work on learning or improving basic obedience commands!
