Pet care experience
I live in a clean and safe apartment near many parks and walking trails in a nice neighborhood. As a child, I grew up with a golden retriever and black lab. As the primary caretaker of our family's black lab, I have had over 12 years of experience caring for dogs. After our black lab passed away from old age, I dog sat for many of my neighborhood families with dogs ranging from West Highland White Terriers to Collies, labs, and retrievers. I have experience dogs ranging from puppies to elderly canines. I am an extremely active and loving person who would be an excellent sitter for your pup! I'll take your dog for PLENTY of walks (or runs if able :) ) or be happy just making sure he or she has a friend at home! I am an early riser and used to the, sometimes particular, feeding and walking schedules of most dogs. Although I do not (yet) have pets of my own, as an animal lover, I LOVE taking care of them for family and friends!

Kayla was our family's pet sitter before she moved to the DC area. She always left us with a peace of mind knowing our dogs were safe and happy! We had her stay at our house for multiple weekends in the summer to be with our dogs full time and it was always a great experience for all parties. She was able to walk our larger dogs multiple times a day and would even run with them! I miss having her live a block away and being able to dog-sit more frequently.
Kayla has dog-sat my three dogs (Maggie - 8 years old, West Highland White Terrier; Gracie - 2 years old, Golden Retriever and Scout - 6 years old, Collie) while I was on vacation twice now. She does an incredible job of keeping my dogs active, tending to their diverse needs (feeding schedules, bathroom times, activity capacity) and I enjoyed how she kept me updated on their daily activities. She is very responsible and cared for the dogs like they were her very own. She is good about waking up early with younger dogs and making sure all dogs are comfortable at all times. I will continue to use her as our go-to pet sitter!
