Pet care experience

Let me spoil your pup! I would love to board, walk, or check-in on your loved companion(s). I’m Kayla, and my husband is Matt. We have Gizmo (Maltese) and Oliver (Yorkie) that we spoil to no end. We love them as if they were our children, and I want to care for your dog(s) with that same care and protection as if they were my own. Experience: * basic trick and command training * leading walks * senior dogs including medication administration * cat medication administration Please note: Due to both my heath and Gizmo’s age/health, I am downsizing the scope of boarding at this time. I will not be able to board the following: • Puppies • Most Dogs 4 and under (breed dependent) unless a calm demeanor or does not try to play with other dogs • Aggressive temperament, known to snip/bite/snap and excessive barking • Families with 3 dogs I have trained and raised four dogs recently. My boys (Maltese, Yorkie) as well as two others we raised in our home for other families until around 18 months old (1 Morkie, 1 Bichon). Dogs have a special place in my heart!

Kayla was awesome. (Amazing and wonderful too). Our dogs were so relaxed and calm when we returned. We will definitely ask her again and again and again.

Kayla is the only person I trust outside of our family to watch our dog! She’s truly amazing!!!

Kayla is the best sitter I’ve ever experienced. She is very caring and diligent. She goes to the extreme to make sure my cat is well cared for. She stopped by to check on Rue when the temps got into the 90s, and played Rue’s game of hide and seek in the backyard for a good hour. I know when I’m gone Rue is well cared for.

This is the first time I used Rover and Kayla made it a wonderful experience! My 9 year old dog can be very shy but he warmed up to Kayla quickly. It was also nice knowing that he got socialize with the other dogs. Kayla and her partner Matt were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. My family and I enjoyed recieving daily pictures and updates of Harvey. I felt at ease knowing my dog was receiving quality care! I highly recommend Kayla!

Safety, trust & environment

We believe in individualized care and taking 1 booking at a time. The dogs already feel the stress of separation from their family, so it is easier on them not having extra strange dogs. Our Oliver loves to play to provide some acclamation in a controlled environment. I work with you to understand your specific dog’s needs and preferences! This means sticking as close as possible to their routines, commands, and rules that you set out at home.

Information Kayla S. would like to know about your pet

I know from personal experience that it is stressful leaving your pet with someone new. I offer a discount to first time customers as a thank you for giving me the opportunity to earn your trust and show that you will be at ease when they are in our care! NOTE: * Immunization records: for the safety and health of all clients, I require proof of current immunization prior to daycare and boarding at our home. * Spoil your pet: Unlike large scale boarding, I only take one family’s dog(s) at a time and you have the option of a completely kennel free environment (even at night) if that is what they are used to. We do provide a medium and small kennel for your convenience if they are crate-trained. * Toys galore: We have every texture and type to ensure they find one they love! No need to bring any unless they are attached to one and will ease separation anxiety. * Healthy treats: USA-sourced, no fillers, no soy, no wheat, no grain, age appropriate, etc. Let me know if they have any allergies or diet restrictions. * Medications: Please bring detailed instructions to the meet and greet in order to walk through them together. Include information such as: prescription name, Oral or Injected, if muzzle is needed, dosages, days/times, refrigeration, special rewards after, etc. * Triggers: what stresses your dog? What in turn soothes them? What do they dislike? (ex. don’t touch paws or ears)

A typical day

I do everything I can to make them feel comfortable and at home with me including unlimited access to the house and bed (house-trained guests only please), unlimited potty breaks, and scheduled activities/walks/playtime. Our Oliver loves to play if your pup is up for it as well, but he knows his boundaries if yours is more shy. Our Gizmo keeps to himself mostly and would rather nap than play with a guest.
