My experience with Kayla was every dog owners’ worst nightmare. I trusted her to watch my dog while I was out of town. I get a call the next day that my dog ran away. She claims my dog, Remy, jumped the makeshift “gate” (that was actually a crate) she had on her deck. I had been on the phone with her for 5 mins and asked how long Remy’s been gone and she said “5 seconds” which clearly was a lie. She continued to put the blame on me for losing my dog and became very hysterical and started cursing me out. I didn’t perceive any effort made by her to find Remy, never kept me updated on what has been done to find her. I had to take matters in my own hand and posted countless posts online and even had to pay someone to put up flyers. Fortunately, someone saw one of the posts and called me when they found Remy almost 3 miles from where the sitter lived, a day after she was lost. She limped on two of her legs which I later found out was because she had burns on her paw pads. My dog is very people friendly and has never ran away from people before. I would never trust Kayla with my dog again. If you’re considering a dog sitter, I would advise to look elsewhere.
