Pet care experience
I have been around dogs and animals my whole life, and finally got my own in the last ten years after watching others' for several years before that. I continue to help friends and family both with pet sitting and training where I can. Most of my experience is with rescue dogs, and I'm happy to board any difficult dogs you may have. I love working with puppies and helping them settle into new routines and learning how to live in our human world. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs, and we can work together to make sure any safety precautions are covered if needed. I have experience with dogs who have disabilities and special needs, including deafness and anxiety issues, as well medication needs. I have 15 years experience training multiple kinds of animals, and I continue to enroll in online and in person training classes to improve my skills, and expand my knowledge. During a meet and greet, we can discuss if any training is something you're interested in as well!

Kayla was exceptional. We were lucky to find her on such short notice (we flew in for a funeral), and she was so lovely, even allowing us to stay 5-10 minutes with Yogi in her home so that he could feel comfortable adjusting. Our pandemic pup has separation anxiety, and has never been in a stranger’s home without us for multiple hours. We were anxious, but seeing how Kayla cared for Yogi and how he felt comfortable cuddling with her made everything better. We especially loved her updates adorable photos of our boi. This is the first time my dogs have boarded outside of our home and Kayla was wonderful in walking me through the process and assuring me that they would be in great care. She way amazing. Each day I received updates and pictures on how Baxter and Bailey were doing. They quickly made friends with her dog as well. I was nervous about that but she assured me it would be ok and her home is equipped with the ability to keep the animals separated if that was a need. With Kayla the dogs had a lot of play time and daily snuggles. It was obvious when I picked them up that they were happy and very comfortable. I would highly recommend Kayla to care for your fur babies.

I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs, Rafiki and Apollo, who are always looking for friends to hang out with! They have their own personalities that can work with all types of dogs whether they are up for some playtime, hikes, or even hanging out on the couch all day if that's what your dog is into! We have several parks and trails we go to regularly if you're interested as well. In the house, I'm fine with dogs on the furniture, but if you'd like I have many dog beds around as well if they prefer those. Standard walking services include a walk around your neighborhood with minimal training besides upkeep on your expectations of your dogs. We can add on any training services to work on reducing pulling or working on reactivity as needed if interested. I also can provide longer "adventure" walks which would include driving your dog to local parks/trails and a walk on a long line for extra decompression and exercise needs.

A typical day
My dogs and I can cater to any of your dogs needs, whether it's walks around the neighborhood, a drive to one of the many parks around my house, or a long hike! I also can set up meals however you'd like, whether they use a bowl or puzzle feeder, need daily medicine, and/or get a kong for a snack. I am also always playing around with training games with my own dogs and and can add on training services depending on your goals with your dog.

Availability
I am a professional dog trainer, and my schedule is a bit flexible when it comes to pick up/drop off times, but I will be out of the house for 2-5 hours most days. When I'm home, I'll be able to give your dogs whatever they need, whether it's just attention, or exercise to burn off the down time from when I was gone! When I leave the house, I keep dogs from different families separated and will most likely need to crate your dog. If this is not possible for your dog, there may be an extra charge depending on what changes I'll need to make to my schedule.
