When it comes to caring for pets, I believe safety, trust, and a clean, comfortable environment are most important. I maintain a consistent routine with my own cat to make sure every aspect of her health and happiness is covered. She’s fed multiple times a day, her litter box is scooped twice daily, her bowls are kept clean, and her water fountain is regularly washed. I also stay on top of grooming by brushing her fur, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and even brushing her teeth. I’ve applied this same level of care to the dogs I grew up with, so I’m confident handling the needs of both cats and dogs. Whether it’s feeding schedules, grooming, cleaning, administering medication, or just keeping them active and loved, I know how to create a safe and healthy environment for any pet.

A typical day
Any activities your pet likes best is fine with me! I can take both cats and dogs on walks at any pace. I can also play fetch with the pups and play with the kitties favorite toys, or anything they like!

Pet care experience
I’ve had animals my entire life, so caring for pets is second nature to me. One of my childhood dogs had hip dysplasia, which taught me early on how to respect a hurting dog’s boundaries and provide the care they need. I was with her and cared for her until she could no longer walk, through her, I developed a deep understanding of dogs with specific needs and how those needs change over time. Over the years, I’ve raised and cared for cats and dogs of all ages. From bottle-feeding newborns to supporting pets in the end stages of their lives. Because of this, I’m confident working with animals at any stage of life. With all of my experience, I’ve developed the ability to quickly understand and respect each animal’s personality, which helps me bond with them and give them the type of care they truly need.

I wouldn’t want anyone else caring for my pets in my absence. She is communicative, including sending pictures and detailed updates and even FaceTimed us at our request. She follows any directions given perfectly (she had to administer meds for us one time). We always have peace of mind when Kayla pet sits for us.
Kayla was very dependable. While traveling she noticed our cat was possibly feeling unwell and went above and beyond to communicate what was going on with us and ensure our cat was feeling his best. Beyond that, our cats love her sweet and gentle nature and I think that’s because of the time she puts in to earn our cat’s trust with patient play and cuddling. Kayla is definitely who you want checking on your babies when you’re not home!
