Pet care experience
Dogs are such an important part of our lives! I never would have guessed that fostering with a local shelter during college would lead me to having over 5 years experience of fostering, 2 years training, and 4 years of owning 2 of my own dogs! I have learned so much through working with dogs and I greatly enjoy anytime I get to spend helping any dog in any situation. Whether that's a potty break in the middle of a long day, or helping their human and them develop a stronger realtionship! Just let me know how I can help!

Kayla is great. She was so patient with my two dogs, as they are sometimes pretty difficult around strangers. They warmed up to her quickly. And I’m so thankful she could watch them while I was out of town!
Kayla was able to walk my dog last-minute and did a great job with him. She kept me updated so I could see that my puppy was being well taken care of!

My top priority at all times is the animals safety! For drop in and walk type appointments I will always scan the dogs area in the house to ensure that nothing got pulled off higher surfaces that shouldn't have or there hasn't been damage done or an accident that needs to be cleaned. Since most clients are new to me and I don't know their neighborhoods or everything about their dog, I prefer to stick to sidewalks and yards on walks to avoid any interactions with other dogs, people, or cars that might lead to dangerous situations. Any notes about your dog or neighborhood that will increase my ability to keep your dog safe I would love to know!

I would like to know if your dog is reactive towards any typical stimuli that we will experience during a walk (squirls, people, cars, dogs). I would also like to know if your dog is going to be crated when I enter your home or if they will be loose. This helps me know where to look for the dog. And lastly I'd like to know if your dog has any major health conditions, such as allergies, collapsed trachea, sensitive spots on its body, etc.
A typical day
I love to get a dogs brain working. Whether it's just us playing a game or learning how to go on a walk together. Watching them think and be themselves is the best thing about spending time with dogs.
