Will love your pup like my own!
Pet care experience
Please read: I work from home currently and am unable to accept frequent barkers due to making frequent patient care calls as I work in healthcare. I also will be unable to accept extremely playful dogs as my two dogs tend to get overwhelmed and feel out of place when constantly nudged to play. They much prefer to lay and cuddle dogs who are like minded. The average day in my house is all the dogs snuggling up on the couch with all the blankets and occasionally hopping down to play with a toy for a couple minutes while the others watch from the couch waiting for them to stop so they can sleep haha. The most important thing in dog sitting for me is finding compatible matches so everyone is happy, therefore if your dog does not match I will say no for both our sakes :) About me: I’ve had dogs ever since I was born, and have always felt that they deserve the world! They have such an amazing and unconditional love in their hearts, and they constantly inspire me to give back wherever I can. Now I have the opportunity to make that a reality! I’ve always loved taking care of pups, so having the ability to regularly take care of pups is something truly amazing for me. In addition to my constant love for dogs, I also have lots of experience taking care of them. I have fostered dogs many times in the past and have extensive experience with all different situations. The youngest dog I’ve ever fostered was 3 weeks old whose mother had just died. That was definitely the most difficult of the lot. The weaning was very difficult but was one of those experiences where I felt so rewarded at the end. I have also fostered elderly dogs as old as 16 years who needed a lot of care as well, and everything else in between! I also have experience with training obedience and commands, and experience dealing with psychological problems like separation anxiety. Some of the best parts about me as a sitter is that I have a home equipped to make any dog comfortable and it’s full of puppy love! Rather than putting your pooch in a kennel when I goto work, I believe in having pups out and free. Though I do have a kennel and playpen if needed! I live with my significant other who also loves dogs and grew up with them. He joins our walks in the evening a lot, and is always willing to step in if I need a helping hand. We have two dogs named Miles and Aiden. Miles is a 9yr old 4lb Chihuahua who thinks he’s a cat. Everyone is always shocked and says he’s the calmest chihuahua they’ve ever met. I have had him his entire life. Then we have Aiden who is a 13 year old Pekingese. He is the calmest dog I have ever met and also the laziest! I bought a pet stroller for him as he loves long walks but doesn’t have the stamina for them. So he gets pushed on the way back and loves it! I live by the golden rule when it comes to pet care: I treat every pup as if they were my own. Whether they are here a day or a week they are my babies as well. When they go home I always miss them and their unique personalities. I give them my undivided attention whenever I can while they are here so that they feel at home and make sure we go on nice long walks to make sure they stay happy and healthy. I provide multiple, detailed updates a day, and am always happy to include pictures and videos as well!

Kayla housesat my elderly grumpy dog for a month and did a great job. Lots of contact and even more love. I’m so grateful.
Hi Im Rosa. I am new at this site. However, I knew from past experience that I could not leave my Lincoln in a boarding place , where the needs of our dogs become obsolete. Or maybe I should say..just walk them, and put food out, and that's it! I planned my first family vacation and knew boarding was not for me or Lincoln. I did some research and found Rover .com. I searched my area and found Kayla, near by. (Wow)! I saw Kaylas face and saw her genuine love for animals. She responded right away!. We arranged for a meet and greet. I was absolutely certain that she was the ONE!! She is genuine and truly loves what she does for our pets!!! I am HIGHLY recommending her and am certain I will call on her again, I plan a family trip same time next year. Kayla, I am so appreciative of your love , which has been extended to my Lincoln!! And of course, my PEACE OF MIND!! KAYLA will update you nd keep you informed as to your dog's adjustment and progress and will send you pics , which keeps you well informed and connected. I really like that!! Again, my experience with Kayla thru ROver. com has been stress free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot say enough positive things about Kayla. She is simply fantastic. We had our meet and greet with her and instantly upon leaving we knew our pup would be in great hands and have the best time. And that's exactly what happened. She loved and cared for our pup as if her own and our pup for sure had a blast! Kayla constantly kept us posted with videos and photos and was attentive to everything. We will definitely become regulars with Kayla. :)
Kayla is great! It was a first time I left my dog with a stranger. I think my dog had a great time and was loved and cared (enough walk and eat). He returned happy and healthy. She was sending me pictures of my dog and any updates through the stay. My dog always seemed to be having a good time. She responds immediately to my texts. And what I liked that Kayla really took the time to understand my dogs needs, showed the place where he will stay. Highly recommend Kayla!

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
Adventures are always on the menu for us! There are tons of things to do in the area, but I do like to have a little structure as well. We can cycle our time between snuggles, exercise, and down time—and make sure to get out and about whenever we want to explore. I’m happy to adhere to the same schedule your pup is used to at home, so just ask! I live in Kew Gardens a few blocks from 75th Ave subway line. We live in a high rise apartment in a very nice area by a school. The kids love seeing the dogs walk by on our walks and there is a lot of parks nearby for the dogs to play in. My favorite thing about the neighborhood is how it feels like a little community. There are a lot of pet owners in our building and it is nice to see them all again along our walks! We’ll be sure to make tons of friends when we’re out and about.
