Safety, trust & environment
First, I make sure your fur-baby is comfortable with me being in their house. Trust and comfort is number one before providing the perfect care for your pet. I provide lots of love and long walks.
Information Kayla L. would like to know about your pet
Would you be available for a Meet and Greet? I always ask new clients to set up a Meet and Greet to let their fur-babies get to know me. Is he/she leashed trained? Does he/she need extra reassurance when parents are gone? How can I make the pet's lives better when pet sitting? Is he/she friendly to new people, or do they take/need time time?
A typical day
If there are parks/trails around, I will take them on those paths. Going on new routes each day is important to the dog, as this brings new stimulation to their senses. So I try to give them enough time on the walk to appreciate. Also I am a cat lover and would love to cat sit. I have a cat, named Cosmo, who is around 2 years old now. I'm an animal lover and would love to spoil and care for your fur baby.

Pet care experience
Starting at the age of eleven, I started my own pet sitting job, providing care to my neighborhood fur babies when their owners were out of town. At that time, I was house/pet sitting and contributed various activities, besides pet sitting, such as watering the yard, bringing in the mail, and cleaning the house. I still pet sit on my own today to neighbors and family friends. In 2009, I started working at Westwood Veterinary Hospital as a boarding technician. Through this three year job, I took care of 50 dogs/cats in the facility. Duties included feeding pets, walking, cleaning cages, washing dogs, washing laundry, cleaning, and maintenance of facility. At time, I would give tours of the facilities, reassuring pet owners that their beloved pets would be well-cared for. To make my experience different is that not only did I pet sit on my own for years, but worked at a facility where I gained expertise and knowledge. I love animals and want to make them happy and comfortable while their owners are away. My experience with pet sitting has brought me to give the best attention and love to the pets, playing and comforting them, until their parents come home.
Reviews

Kayla was fantastic! She was so thorough and carried out all that we reviewed at our meet and greet. She provided us with pictures and feedback throughout the weekend which reassured us that our fur babies were in good hands. It is very apparent that Kayla genuinely enjoys her work. I think my babies missed her after she was gone.

Very reliable! Promptly fed and played with our kitties, and kept their litter boxes clean! Sent pics and a report for every visit.! 🐱💖🐱

Such a wonderful caretaker of my little pups. Responsible and very reliant, would hire again if she’s in town!

Kayla was wonderful with our kitties. She was quick to respond and they enjoyed her visits/care. We’ll definitely use her again!
