Pet care experience
I have had pets my entire life, ranging from cats to dogs to birds to fish to hamsters, often at the same time. I currently have one dog and a cat, and some fish. My dog is a blind senior, so I have experience with special needs and elderly pups. My cat was a rescue, so I’m used to those needs as well. I’ve also had clients with rescue pets that need a little extra care (or extra space if that’s what they need). I’ve been on rover now for a couple of years (if memory serves). Have an alarm system? No problem! I can handle that (though I’m a visual person, so it helps to see the actual process of setting the alarm and deactivating it, though clear instruction notes works, too).

I will definitely recommend Kayla to any friends or family needing a pet sitter. She took such good care of our 3 cats while we were away. I appreciated the daily photos & updates. She was very professional and kind.
This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby cats for more than a couple of days & we needed someone who could check in on them while we were on vacation. We have never had a pet sitter before & we were hesitant on who to pick. I knew at the meet & greet Kayla was going to be awesome! She did everything and more. Hard working, trustworthy, & caring person! She took pictures of the cats and wrote a detailed description on how they were doing, which was nice. We appreciate everything and hope to work with her in the future.
I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars. Kayla has been wonderful throughout the whole process of using this service. She was on time, she communicated well, took photos, did exactly what we needed for our cats while we were out of town, came by and met them before we left, picked up the keys to our house and dropped them back off to us. She was absolutely wonderful and we will use her again in the future.
My poor girl had an accident in her kennel over night and I had to work long hours the next day and didn’t have time to clean it and get her situated so she had to stay outside. Kayla came during her off time and made sure Honey had fresh, clean, cool water in all 3 of her bowls and played with her for a while. Definitely will be calling on her again in the future!!

I live at an apartment, so I will not be able to keep the babies here, but will happily follow your instructions at your home. I tend to be a strict rule follower. With my pets, I'm firm when needed, but also love spoiling my babies. My cat sleeps with me, and my dog has a crate he sleeps (this keeps him safer with his special needs because I can’t keep an eye on him while sleeping).

I apprecitate up front honesty about any issues, and will often double check for clarity. I know our pets are more than animals, they are family, so I want to know how to best care for your baby. Are they active, or more of a couch potato? Do you have any tricks you want us to work on? Fun facts? Favorite treats? Also, written out instructions tend to help me stay as close to your routine as possible.
A typical day
I am an outdoorsy person, so any opportunity to be outside hiking or visiting the dog park is perfect. I am a pro a playing fetch (that's all my dog wants to do when he feels like playing). A good tug-of -war session is always fun, too, and I love working on dog tricks.

Availability
I work at at the Montessori School of Jonesboro weekdays from 7:45-3:45 on MWF and 7:45-5 on Tues and Thurs (with a break from 12:45-2), but can stop by before and after work, and maybe on my break on Tues and Thurs (depending on your location), and am free on the weekends (though I attend church on Sunday).
