Pet care experience

Hi! Thank you for stopping and checking out my profile. My name is Kayla, and I have always been a dog and cat lover! I'm an active member of pet societies in fostering, volunteer work etc.. In past experiences with boarding, I have found that places use cages or metal runs! Dogs with separation anxiety could do more harm to themselves with metal runs, and being locked in a cage for more than 8 hours at night isn't good either for your babies! I do require a copy of updated shots for pet(s) vaccinated. Before overnight stay (usually 24 to 48 hours before), I want to see your pets behavior and like to do an assessment. I also come to your house to pick up your baby, and will drop off as well! About this sitter: I have a dog, and two children, but don't let that deter you. I automatically separate my family from my clients. Your animals safety and my family's safety is my number one concern. Dogs are still animals and can be unpredictable. My clients dogs have domain of the downstairs as my dog and cat roam upstairs. Understand that not all dogs get along with one another or children (like my Brody with children). I never leave anyone unattended that is a guest in my house for that reason. My husband is in the US Coast Guard and we have recently moved to Virginia. I built up a huge clientele near Patrick AFB, FL with over 70 clients. I was so sad to leave these precious fur babies behind, but also excited for the future of new beginnings to come. Yes, I know my prices may be higher than others, but having the professional experience in emergency settings and ensuring your animals safety separates me from others. Rest assured your baby will be in the best of hands. Why I love dog sitting I grew up around animals my whole life. From Horses and cows, to dogs, cats, ferrets, etc. Your babies become a part of your life and your family! They will always be there for you when you're having bad days to cheer you up because they rely on you 110%. My goal is to treat each and every pet that steps foot in my house the same as I would treat mine (which is extremely spoiled). My experience administering medication Yes, I've fostered many animals and also worked in the Vet industry as well. If you dog needs insulin shots, down to swallowing pills I am more than comfortable administering the medication.

Kayla took great care of our three cats! We get really nervous leaving them behind but I felt reassured that they were being loved and taken care of the entire time! Kayla sent pictures during every visit and took great care of our apartment! We really appreciated everything that she did and will be booking her again in the near future!

Kayla was great. She visited my dog twice while we were camped at Manatee cove. My dog loved her. I would recommend her and book her again.

Kayla was punctual with riff so she stayed in her routine which is very important to me. She sent me videos everyday and you could her it in Kaylas voice that she was happy with what she was doing. Riff seemed to like her a lot and was excited when she came to see her. She took in my mail everyday and made sure the house was secure. I highly recommend her and she will be watching her again when I go off. Thank you Kayla great job!!

Kayla is amazing. Besides helping to train our dog to have better habits during watching her, she took such great care of our dog and cat. She sent us daily updates with pictures, so I knew that my pets were safe and in good hands. We could not be happier and will continue to ask Kayla to watch our pets when we go out of town. I can't imagine someone doing a better job! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Information Kayla L. would like to know about your pet

I love all breeds (especially the big ones)! There is no breed restrictions here. Please answer the following below: - What type of behavioral (if any) problems you may have in your household. Do they get along with other animals? Are they the pack leader within the group? - Do they have food aggression? - Please list any medications (if any) needed to be given at what times. - Are they neutered/spayed? If no, pricing will be higher - Are you able to provide an UTD (up to date) records on all vaccinations? - Are they currently on flea control? (If found they are not, you will be charged for bathing and undergoing flea control).

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks There are a few parks (not dog parks as I do not allow my animals at dog parks as some owners are not as responsible as I'd hope they would be) that I love taking mine to daily. The length of how long they are ran/walked depends on the dogs breed, size, age, etc. For example, your little yorkie wouldn't need as much exercise as a Husky. A tired dog is a good dog. Your dog's sleeping arrangement This depends on your sleeping situations at home. I do not allow animals in my bed (as this shows that they are equal to myself). I will allow them to sleep on huge plush bed beside me. If you have your animals crate trained to sleep in their kennels at night (with or without blankets and beds) then they too will do the same. Please also let me bring them as it has their scent and they would be more comfortable in their surroundings. Time I'll spend with your dog From the time they get up until it is time to sleep, they will be by my side. I want your animals to feel comfortable and know they can trust me 100%.
