Pet care experience
I have owned dogs since I was 15 years old. I worked as a vet tech for 3 years before becoming a registered nurse, and have been working as a nurse for 4 years. I have also professionally trained my dog in obedience and service training, as well as protection training. I have rescued several abandoned and sick dogs and taken care of them in their hardest times. I have extensive knowledge with medication administration, CPR, and have even assisted in surgeries on animals. I have extensive experience with timid and aggressive animals. I have a passion for dogs and strive to be the best care giver possible.

Being around Kayla is like being around sunshine. She emits a glow that can be seen and felt by all, especially animals. She has such a kind heart, and truly does whatever she can to do or be the best possible, regardless of the task. I would trust her with my family, friends, pets, or any other loved one.
I have never known anyone who loves pets, especially dogs, as much as Kayla. She treats them like a "member of the family". She has lost some pets in the past, and it literally tore her heart out. Kayla is so caring and good with pets (they are like her children). I don't think you could find anyone more fitted to do this type of work!!!

I have my own yard, but it is unfenced. My dog, Ronin is off leash trained, but I do have additional collars and leashes if needed. We have multiple areas around the yard to use the restroom. I also live on Indian Lake in Denville, so we have a beautiful area to walk and have exercise/play time! I’m diligent about being sure none of my dogs eat or drink 1 hour prior to playing, as well as after playing to protect against stomach flipping. We have a lovely field down the road where we run Ronin. My boyfriend, Kevin lives with me in our 2 story, 3 bedroom 2 bath home, so the dogs will have lots of room to be comfortable. We allow dogs on the furniture, and encourage cuddles whenever the dog allows. I will be returning to work full time in September, but will have days during the week available for care. I can’t wait to meet all of your amazing dogs!

A typical day
When it comes to walks around my home, there’s tons of little paths and fields to go to! We live on a lake so there will be plenty of lovely scents to sniff! When I visit your home for walks and care, maybe you can tell me some areas your dog loves or places you’ve always wanted to take them!

I’m currently working as a caregiver on multiple platforms, as well as looking into professional training at the moment. I’m home full time for the month with my own personal dog, Ronin.
