Provide care to your beloved pets !
Pet care experience
I will sit for your pet in the Central Arkansas area and Out Of State for Established Clients. Since my children graduated from college, (they are now 30's, out of state & in the middle of their careers), I decided to pursue my undeniable caregiving with dogs/cats. I wanted to start a business with animals (which I have loved since childhood). In 2016, I brokered with Rover.Com (a dog/cat sitting service from Seattle, WA) that I felt not only protected me but also protected the clients by conducting a thorough background check) & also provides mediation in a situation that needs to be resolved. My business venture first began dog boarding at my home, then progressed to dog walking & as my trust with the client's increased, I began dogsitting in clients homes which has been a beautiful bonding experience. This gives me the ability to gain trust with the dog/cats, the clients, provide the animals care in their familiar atmosphere and provides peace for the clients. I conduct myself in a professional manner. I have a really good, loving relationship with the dogs/cats and the clients is one of trust. Twice a day, I will send a text to you with updates, pictures and videos. I prefer 1 to 4-stay sittings as that allows me time with my family. ***If I am caring for 2-dogs, I provide a service of 1-cat charge being FREE. 2-more dogs, the next cat FREE. ***PROMOTION: If you are using ROVER.COM for the 1st time, use the code below to get $20.00 off. The code is KAYLAJ79560.
Reviews
Kayla was fantastic!! She took great care of our pups and kept us informed daily. We will hire her again!
Amazing sitter who was really good with our pets, including a foster who was still not 100% potty trained. Heartily recommend! Will definitely book again.
Great communication! Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dogs!
We had Kayla stay at our home to take care of our two kitties while we were out of town. She took such good care of them and sent updates/pictures often. One of my kitties wasn’t feeling well and made a big mess of himself, she cleaned him and his mess up with no complaints. She was also very sweet and accommodating when my arrival time changed last minute. Thank you, Kayla!

While home sitting, trust between the client & myself is important to me. I am taking care of your most treasured family member/members & it is my responsibility to provide the best of care to you as my client for your pet/pets. When the dogs are in the backyard, I always go back with them & stay to ensure they do not leave the fenced area as well as to provide recreation time. I offer a calm environment so the transition is smooth when you are away.
Information Kayla J. would like to know about your pet
Has your dogs/cats ever bit (or accidentally bit) someone before including a family member or other dogs If so, I will start off slow with my introduction to the dog/cat & slowly work on our relationship. I will handle them in a different manner to prevent that from occurring. I have only been bit once, but I did not call to report the incident as we were playing. Also, due to the 10-day isolation policy, I refused to report it. The dog was 100 lbs.+ & we were pals. It was a minor cut so everything was fine & we were playing around. Does your dog/cat take medication or have any allergies? I will be happy to accommodate. Please explain in detail about your pets condition, medication & medical condition.
A typical day
While home sitting, overnight stays are awesome. The first few hours at your home, I let the dog/dogs/cat become adjusted to me & I do not push myself on them. I allow them to walk around their territory for a few hours & sniff my shoes/slacks & figure out I am their to be their friend. If they want to play, we play. I will start petting, massaging, playing with their favorite toy & have an extremely active/pleasant time. The dogs/cats will feel very comfortable, loved & most important safe. If I have a grumpy dog, don't fret. By midnight, we always become BEST FRIENDS. I truly love all breeds & all personalities. If I have permission to take the dogs out of the house, I love to go for a good walk or a dog walk. We can also have just as much fun playing in the backyard (if you prefer) or walking around your apartment complex several times a day. The important thing is that you have no worries & that the dog/dogs/cats feel safe, secure & have an enjoyable time.

Availability
While dogsitting, I stay with your pet/pets 24 hours a day (I bring books/crafts with me) unless I have to make a run to the store or a doctor's visit. I have taken care of up to 8 pets in 5-days, 4 pets in 14-days, & 3-dogs in 1-month (I will not do that unless under unusual circumstances in the future). Pets are very diverse & I enjoy each visit. I love what I do by caring for your precious pets. When daylight first hits, I am immediately awake. If the dogs/cats are still sleeping, I will usually lay there & rest until they wake up. I bring a protein shake with me the night before to my room so I take my medication at 5am without disturbing them and drink my shake. Once they are awake, I promptly take them out for a potty break before breakfast. I ask that the client's "complete a paper info sheet" on each animal so that I know their eating schedule, medication management (if they are taking any) so I can be prepared daily. It can be placed on the counter top. The entire day is full of fun, naps, meals, fun, and again naps. So much fun.
