I have never met a dog that I didn't love or that didn't at least like me back! I understand dogs of all breeds and personalities. Just because I am comfortable immediately doesn't mean the dog is. It's all about patience and making sure that they do things on their time line. I've been house/dog sitting for co-workers and friends for a long time. Walks, baths, specialty feedings, medications, you name it I've probably done it. I will love your dog as if they were my own (which I don't currently have).

Any pet care is dictated by the client's wishes. This includes walking schedules, feedings, treats, bed time routine, etc. I follow the guidance of all owners to have minimal disruption to the dog and their routines.

First how does the dog handle outdoor activities? Short nose dogs obviously have restrictions in heat or with some longer activities. How well a dog does on leash, how do they interact with other dogs, other people, small kids, etc. All these things tailor the activity and locations as to allow the dog to enjoy the activity without danger to the dog or others.
A typical day
Playing with dogs is always something I do. This includes fetch with their favorite toy or ball indoors or outdoors (weather and dog dependant). Walks in an area familiar to the dog at first I find better as to acclimate myself with the dog and build that trust eith the dog in an environment they are already comfortable with. Once a relationship is established and depending on clients wants, dog parks or new walking spaces can be introduced.

Availability
I work full time, but don't take on any responsibilities with pet care that I cannot fulfill. If it's house/dog sitting it's about the needs of the client. I have a flexible hours at work which allow me to work from home or leave during the day if needed.
