‘Best fetch partner ever’ - My dog
Pet care experience
Hi! I am the human to four fabulous felines and a German Shedder named Tilly. I grew up on a farm, and everything from livestock to the tiniest of kitties is up my alleyway. My pets are my best friends and I’m thankful I now have the opportunity to work from home and spend so much time with them, but before then I get guilty leaving them home alone so much. I’d really like to offer some pets the chance to get out and have some air that they normally wouldn’t have while you’re gone. I’m mindful of reactivity, heat exhaustion risk, anxiety, dog aggression etc.. I do not mind using training tools that you request (knowledgeable on muzzles, prongs, e-collars- though slip leads I respectfully am not comfortable with on an unfamiliar dog to start). I have farm sat, house sat, baby sat, and pretty much every other sat I can think of. Can provide references. Comfortable administrating some medications (if you have a diabetic animal, you would need to teach me injections- but I do have a background in human endocrinology and am familiar with diabetes and blood sugar drops and DKA, and CGM’s; I’ve just never administered insulin to a pet. I am an amateur photographer as well, and love photographing pets.

Thank you Kayla for checking in on Sadi. Kayla is a good communicator , she send me message and pictures of her walks with Sadi. Also on time, definitely recommend.
Simply the best. We have two huskies and she dropped in and walked them for a few days. Great communication and awesome photos!! Our boys loved her as well. We’ll be calling on Kayla in the future!

In my home my cats are strictly inside with all vaccinations and flea/tick medication. My dog goes outside for walks at a minimum of four times a day, and we try to get her into the dog park for 30 minutes or so once a day for fetch, or to just let her be a dog. If we can’t get into a dog park, we do a sniffari around the apartments to get her daily dose of smells. I typically avoid walking dogs around other people to help maintain safety, and only use dog parks while empty. If your dog is fine in the park and you permit me to take them while in my care, that’s fine. I just don’t utilize dog parks otherwise. When walking, I have a leash belt that attaches to my waist so that a leash does not get pulled out of my hand. If you would like me to work with an e-collar, prong, or muzzle, I am experienced with each of these and if requested that they be used I am happy to do so.
Information Kayla H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any: leash/dog aggression or reactivity allergies treat restrictions (I typically carry pet botanicals mini treats for training or sniffing out) bite history (will not deter my visit, but extra precautions should be made) Any fears or phobias, or anxiety and the situation that would trigger a fear response. History of abuse if known If your dog has/doesn’t have a good recall Any additional information you would like me to know, please let me know. I know not all of these requests are relevant to everyone, and that’s okay. I just like to be as prepared as possible to keep myself and your babies safe.
A typical day
With dogs that I watch, I like to focus on enrichment and stimulation. Fetch, light scent work, sniffaries, puzzles, tug-o-war, simple obedience (it’s a great workout for your pups brain!)- these all provide a mix so both physical and mental stimulation and sometimes can help resolve some minor behavioral issues.

Availability
I currently work full time, so my availability isn’t as open as some but some flexibility around lunch is possible. Otherwise, any time after 5:30 during the week and then fairly open availability on the weekends.
