I am comfortable crating dogs if needed and am super familiar with puppy-proofing rooms and ensuring that dogs cannot get to anything that will harm them. The same goes for cats! I promise to be attentive at all times to your pet and ensure their safety is my number one priority.

A typical day
I love making sure that dogs have an enriching experience. I can ensure that they will get a variety of play types based on their preferred styles (chase, tug, fetch, etc.) and am happy to do enrichment work with kibble/treats if preferred as well! I am also happy to expose them to new smells, sounds, and areas!

I have grown up with cats my entire life and am extremely familiar with the typical responsibilities that allow them to have an enriching day-to-day experience. I have also done cat sitting for friends, family, and neighbors.

Kayla is an incredibly caring and responsible pet caregiver and sitter. Not only is she a lifelong pet owner of dogs and cats, she also has 4 years of dedicated dog training, walking, and sitting experience through an organization that trains service animals. She has experience with dogs and cats at all life stages, and can easily read animal body language to ensure that your pet is comfortable and content. My dog has been under Kayla's care since she was 12 weeks old - I would trust her with any of my dogs or cats without hesitation.
I asked Kayla to housesit my 4 year old australian shepherd while I was away for a wedding, and she did an exceptional job! My dog is known for being pretty anxious and difficult to walk, so at first, I was a little nervous. Kayla was prompt, communicative (sent lots of updates), and reassured me that my pup did great! She was able to successfully walk her and even gave me some tips from her service dog training experience to help make my walks smoother moving forward (I have since implemented these tips and they really work!). I will definitely be reaching out to her when I need a sitter in the future, and I recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable, and reassuring dog-sitter.
I highly recommend Kayla for ANY pet-sitting! She has cared for my dog Maya for the past 9 years and is VERY reliable, loving, thorough, professional, and pleasant in all interactions. I've been able to stick to my demanding work schedule without a hitch because my dog LOVES Kayla! It's such a comfort knowing she is in such good hands!
