Dogmother to the Rescue!!

Pet care experience

As of now I am a full time petsitter. That being said I spend loads of time with all different types of furbabies. It brings me joy each and every day. I'm very patient and that allows my furry clients to get to know me at their own pace. Living on a ranch and having horses and dogs all my life, I've dealt with different types of dog energies from couch potato to bouncy doggies. I take my time and learn each and every one of my clients and vice versa. I understand some animals may have trust issues and that is totally fine with me. By the end of the stay, I guarantee they will be eating out of my hands. I love going for long walks, which is good for dog's mental and physical health. "A tired dog is a good dog". I also like taking my clients to nearby parks(if allowed to). I'm always up for a good game of tug-of-war. I'll get down and dirty if that's what makes my clients happy. I'm here to make my furry friends happy and comfortable while their parents are away. I have a voice for those who don't and I will greatly take a challenge if you consider you puppy a handful. I work with aggressive/reactive dogs and help them gain trust in me, so that their parents can finally have a break. Most parents are afraid to take a vacation because of their dog's aggression and I'm here to help. Book me today and learn more...

Kayla did an amazing job as usual. I got pictures of my fur babies and everyone was happy when I got home.

Kayla stayed in our house for two nights three days to watch our littles. She started midday of first day and even though she had another client early morning of the last day, she came back and stayed longer then I expected because my babies were lonely and we weren’t due home until the afternoon. The house was clean, all packages were brought in, and dogs were fed on time. What I like most about Kayla is that she immediately answered all messages from me. There was no wait time, no matter what time of day… I really appreciated that. This is Kayla’s career. She has made a commitment to be a caretaker for pets so owners can relax and get away. We appreciated her help. ?

Kayla sent more photos than any dog-sitter we ever had. After some horrible experiences with other sitters (like a no-show), we truly appreciated that. Instead of feeling anxiety about leaving our pets at home, we were laughing and smiling because they looked like they were having so much fun. Our cat Mao hides from everyone because she rarely trusts anyone--and still hasn't warmed up to most of our friends--but she was posing for pictures for Kayla after just one day! I think that says a lot. We have a young, energetic pit bull (Roxy) and an older paraplegic, incontinent cavalier cocker spaniel (Autumn), which can be a handful. It's tough because Roxy is social but Autumn is picky about her friends, yet they both got along great with Kayla's dogs! She took them for walks, hung out with them outside, and took them all to the dog park; they looked like they had a blast. They seemed extremely well taken care of and happy with Kayla the entire time. On top of all that, despite the rain and Autumn's potty problems, Kayla somehow managed to keep the house super clean. She was also understanding when we had to cancel one of our trips because I didn't renew my passport in time. She still worked with us after that. I hope she will be our dog-sitter in the future. We truly appreciate her!

A typical day

When I stay with a client I tend to try to mimic what their parents do on a normal day, so my clients are happy and comfortable. I love taking my clients on long walks around the neighborhood and try to take different routes each time we go out. I have a bike with a dog tag-along bar and I'll ride and we both get our exercise(very safe for dogs that pull and teaches them to slow down. I tested it!) There are two dog parks that I love going to and I haven't had a problem while tending. There is also a small neighborhood dog park by my house that no one going to and it's a good place to do tricks and get some exercise. I like getting down and dirty and play games with the pups. They love that of course. Tug-of-war is the best and it's a good mental game for dogs. I'm here for fun and that's what we are going to do...
