My family has owned dogs all my life, and each dog has been a central and important part of our household, loved deeply and appreciated for their special personalities. I've been walking, playing with, feeding, and caring for dogs since I was a child. Specifically, I have quite a bit with of experience with older dogs. Currently, my parent's dog, Hattie (seen in the picture with me!), is fourteen years old, and I've watched her for my parents on countless occasions. She has Cushing's disease, and requires daily medication dispensing, a lot of water (and potty breaks), and enjoys her old legs rubbed. I also have experience with puppies, from raising them (two within my childhood) to watching them for others. Over the last year, I nannied full-time for a family. Along with providing care for the children, I was also in charge of their two sweet dogs (one, a brand-new Field Spaniel puppy; the other, an elderly King Charles gentleman). I walked, fed, and played with them, as well as took them to grooming appointments. I can walk or jog with the dog, whichever is preferred. We'll play, cuddle, and tummy rub. I can promise lots of love and attention! I work during the weekdays, but am available all weekday evenings, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I would love to form bonds and be a regular walker for your pet. A tiny bit about myself: I teach during the day, and write on my own time. I have an MFA from San Francisco State University, and a BA from the University of Redlands. Photography is my main hobby, other than writing. I run for exercise (and can run with your dog, too!).
