Growing up with pets, I knew I could never be without my four-legged companions, and I want to include your pet in my furry family! I am an honors graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, recently relocated back to my hometown in CT. I have 10 years of professional dog, cat, and house-sitting experience and a lifetime of pet-loving experience. I enjoy taking my fuzzy clients walking, running, and couch-lounging and I have references available upon request. If hired to stay in your home, I can also feed birds, water lawns, or take in the mail if needed. Whether you are out for the day or the week, my goal is to make sure your best friend is at no loss for love.

I can easily say that having Kayla as my sitter for Stormy and Beefy gave me the upmost peace of mind that they were in great hands. I received daily updates with pictures and being 8.5 hours away from home, that truly gave me such peace. Only downside was coming home and Stormy was disappointed that it was me and not her 😂 all joking aside, that made me happy because Stormy takes awhile to warm up to anyone.
Kayla was amazing and took great care of my two girls! She was in contact with me the perfect amount, left the house clean, was very respectful of the house, and overall did a wonderful job. Next time we have to go out of town, Kayla will be our first choice!

I am very cautious of items left on countertops or otherwise within reach of curious dogs. I always supervise time spent outdoors, even with fenced areas. I take dog vs human food very seriously.

I am comfortable with caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes but I do ask that, if your dog has a history of any aggressive behaviors, you inform me of what triggers these behaviors (ex: touching their food or any specific body areas) so I know how to love them safely. Before caring for your dog I need to know if your dog is comfortable being left alone, and if so for how long? Is your dog comfortable around other dogs? Does your dog have a history of stomach issues or incontinence that would result in them vomiting, urinating, or defecating indoors?
A typical day
I love taking walks, mixing up the route, and really exploring new neighborhoods. I’m a tug-of-war champ in every weight class, and I’ve been working on my arm for fetch endurance. If dog and owner are comfortable, I’d love to put hours in at a local dog park or swimming hole.

I’m currently working part-time so my schedule is variable and flexible with lots of time to cuddle and play with your pets in between shifts.
