Hi, I'm Kayla! Thank you for stopping by to check out my profile! You can rest assured knowing that I will shower your pets with an endless amount of love and treat them just as if they were my own! I have 15 years of experience working in the veterinary field, which has given me the knowledge and confidence to care for animals of all species, sizes, and life stages. I love taking my pack on hikes, park visits, and having them join me in any dog friendly events around town! I would feel honored knowing you're entrusting me with your pet's care and of course I would always ask permission to take your pet on any adventures! If your pet is not the adventurous type, I'm totally okay being a couch potato with them, or taking just a short walk around the block! I have a VERY big soft spot caring for senior pets. 🐾 I also have a comfy dog stroller for pets weighing up to 40lbs!

Kayla and her family provided the best care for Olive while we were away for a week. Olive loved playing with their pup Goose and had so much fun staying with them! It was my first time leaving Olive for longer than a night but Kayla was the best and sent updates and pics throughout the week. It was evident Olive received so much love and was very happy with them.🥰 thank you Kayla!

In our home, your pup will be treated just as if they’re part of our family! It’s very important for us to know how your pet typically adjusts to a new environment. We live in an extremely dog friendly community! Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate dogs who bark often, are aggressive towards other dogs or babies, or have extreme cases of separation anxiety that could cause them to become destructive or hurt themselves if we need to step out to run a quick errand.

We recently adopted a golden retriever puppy! He is the cutest thing and we do understand that not every dog enjoys the having a fluff ball of energy in their face. Our boy, Goose, is kennel trained and we are also firm on teaching him manners. We are able to accommodate separate spaces if they need a break from one another. Goose does get spurts of energy, but also sleeps a lot too!
A typical day
Every dog is different and our day is really just planned around their comfort level and what they enjoy doing! We live a very active lifestyle and love to be outdoors. Everyday we average a 3 mile walk around Balboa Park. We love bringing our furry guests along for exercise! We’re happy to bring the pet stroller for our senior pups or those who tire easily. ☺️ That walk usually takes 1 to 1.5hrs. We do have a pet camera set up inside, if you’d prefer your pup to stay home and relax, that way we can check on them from our phones and ensure their doing okay!

Availability
I currently work M-F, approximately 6 hrs per day. My husband, a retired veteran, is a stay at home dad to our soon to be 1-year old little man! With our schedules, we are able to provide potty breaks frequently throughout the day.
