I try my best to stick to whatever schedule the dog(s) are used to, I make sure they get plenty of attention and playtime outside. I send picture updates to put you at ease that everything is okay. Not everyone treats dogs like they are family members but I do. My kids have grown up around dogs their whole life. I’m not worried unless the dog has been known to be specifically aggressive towards children. Or if they tend to be aggressive with their food. My children leave dog food alone but I prefer to not be around those dogs who will bite you if you try to touch their food.
