Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 6. I was born and was truly an animal lover from the start. At 6 years old I got my first pet of my own which was a bird. I have had birds, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, hamsters, etc. I started taking my childhood dogs to all their grooming and vet appointments at 17 when I could drive. Since living on my own, I have my 6 year old cat, a 1 year old cat, and I have two dogs at 1.5 years old and 1 year. I am very familiar with extra care as my childhood dogs that passed away in 2020 had daily medications and lots of specific daily care, regarding seizures and oral medications for dental issues.

Kayla has watched over and cared for my pet on multiple occasions over the years and she goes above and beyond to ensure the pets in her care are always taken care of. I’ve never met someone that loves animals more than Kayla and she is highly educated in the care of animals and how much patience they require. I have no doubt that she would be a great candidate for taking care of anyone’s fur baby.

I love my pets. That’s why I find it so important to have someone you can truly trust to take care of your fur babies. I am striving to give that service! I have taken care of coworkers/friends pets. Some have a fenced in yard so they prefer their dogs just have a play session there. The ones who lived with no fence got long walks. Some even went on small trails with me. I also have taken care of cats, so giving them food and fresh water and a play session. It all varies from type of pet and age :)

Let me know if your dog has specific command words or anything that they don’t like! For example: my dogs know the word down is lay down. They also won’t eat their food unless I have said their release word “yes.” Just let me know :)
A typical day
I love taking my personal dogs to different parks and trails. I personally use a variation of 6 foot leashes and 30 foot leads when in a big open space. I also do a lot of mental enrichment. It is important that dogs are challenged not just physically but mentally too. This includes things like frozen Kongs and lick of a dogs favorite treats. I also use toys that dispense treats!
