Hi Pet Guardians, Thanks for your interest in my services. I have been working with dogs professionally for the past two decades, I have experience managing dog daycares, off leash hikes, am a trained vet assistant, and currently working towards my Professional Pet Dog Trainer certification. I have experience with young puppies and their training needs, as well as providing medication for dogs & cats as needed. I recently opened a dog daycare in downtown Courtenay (wildWOOF enriched dog daycare) and I absolutely LOVE it. I have a fully fenced yard and three dogs of my own. One is a senior (9 years), a teen (18 months, and a puppy (5 months). I require all dogs that board in my home to be good with other dogs and people. My own dogs stay with my partner when I have boarding dogs in my home so there isn’t much overlap between my crew and yours. - please ensure your profile includes multiple dogs if you are booking for multiple dogs. Rover will list a sitter as available based on that info, it keeps things more smooth for everyone if that information is accurate :)

Kaye is truly the greatest! She is super responsive and flexible, accepting our request to look after our cat Buddy on just 2 days notice when we had to go out of town last minute. Buddy is a rescue and is typically nervous with new people but he immediately took to Kaye, he was so happy to get pats from her and sleeping on the bed during the first night of her stay. We’re so happy to have found her! Thank you so much for everything Kaye :)
Kaye was absolutely great with our dog, I was particularly impressed with her knowledge of dog training. She sent us regular updates and photos which was reassuring, and I could tell that she really enjoyed interacting with our dog, and she got her out on some great adventures. We were completely satisfied with our service and wouldn't hesitate to book Kaye again.

Kaye has an amazing way with animals..both dogs and cats. As well her experience through her dog walking and boarding make her invaluable. My rescue, who is slow to adopt others, fell in love with Kaye and she was able to walk her when most others can't due to her wariness.

When I’m house sitting at your home I bring the admin part of my work along with me. You can expect to catch your pet and I hanging out with my iPad while I dream up new offerings and enrichment ideas.

Has your dog ever been to a dog daycare? What was there experience? What about the dog park? Does your dog have any interpersonal challenges with other dogs? Is your pet house trained? Does your pet have any allergies? (I strictly use positive reinforcement only so please answer this question!) Does your pet have any history of aggressive behaviours? How is your pet when home alone? Vocal? Calm? Crated? What training protocols do you follow? My home is a strictly force free, positive reinforcement focused space. No aversive techniques here!
A typical day
I own an enrichment based dog daycare, which incorporates small group play, one on one enrichment activities and rest periods for a wholistic experience for your dog. I also hike/walk at least five km each day, dogs who are staying with me and up for the adventure will always join. We hike off leash when possible and with the owners consent.

Availability
Pet care is my full time gig, I am at wildWOOF Monday to Friday as early as 8am and as late as 6pm. ALL house sit and boarding dogs must be daycare appropriate. I will not leave your (or mine!) dog(s) alone for that long. All boarding and house sit clients are given free daycare days during their stays.
