Loving Dog Care in Our Home
Pet care experience
My husband Lee and I have owned dogs for years and years. Our whole family are huge dog lovers - we have two teenage children - one away at college and one in High School. About a year and a half ago Lee was retired from Boeing and is now at home full-time. Since then we’ve been taking care of dog visitors, both for daily day care and overnight vacation stays. We are able to give every dog we host the loving home care he or she would get in their own home, so we keep the number of dogs we have at any one time fairly small. We own a 12 year old Cardigan corgi boy who is very used to visitors coming and going. We don’t have a yard but we do have a dog door and dog run in the back of the house and every dog gets to walk as often and as much as they need. We are also able to give medication, feed as needed and give treats and toys.

Katya & Lee have taken care of our Labrador both during the workday and overnight if we're out of town. Our dog loves getting dropped off with them, and we're confident that she's being well taken care of with multiple walks a day, belly rubs, and lots of love. They've even taught her a few new tricks!
Katya and Lee have watched our two year old Labrador several times and have truly been one of the best dog caretakers ever! This is our second lab and we have had lots of dog watchers over the years and they have definitely been the best. Katya responds quickly to texts, is extremely flexible and is very receptive to all of my instructions and questions. Katya genuinely seems to love my dog and speaks very kindly about her. It is clear she understands what it takes to keep my lab safe from harm and happy. I can honestly say that I feel completely confident that my lab is in GREAT care when she is with Katya and Lee.
Katya’s home has been a second home for our spoiled goldendoodle since she was a puppy and she is now seven. We take her there for care whenever we go on vacation. Katya & her family are dog lovers and they treat our dog as one of their own. And, we know our dog loves being there because she is excited whenever she sees Katya & her family and happily bounds up to her house. Our dog is a cherished member of our family and we cannot imagine leaving her with anyone else. I recommend Katya without reservation!
Katya and her family have been great dog sitters for our yellow lab named Lucy. We used to stress about boarding Lucy whenever we went out of town until we learned about Katya. Now Lucy stays with Katya when we travel and Lucy doesn’t ever want to leave when we arrive to pick her up. Katya and her family are loving and attentive making sure Lucy feels like a part of the family. Katya’s home has plenty of space for doggy exploration and there is a big park nearby. We don’t worry about Lucy when she is with Katya and her family. Katya is easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Katya if you need to board your dog or just need to have a dog sitter for the day.

Since we have our own elderly dog and other guest dogs who are all very carefully screened by us for temperament, any new dog would have to get along well with our other dogs, so we’re unable to take dogs who are in any way aggressive.
A typical day
We live in a very walkable neighborhood so a lot of the walks are around the neighborhood and in our neighborhood park. If the weather permits we go walking at other Seattle parks and locations.
