Pet care experience
I grew up always having a pet in my family! I still cry when I watch Homeward Bound and I see Shadow coming over the hill. Dogs and cats are both baby angels to me. While I have become more of a cat person in my older years, I still love the affection and personality of a dog. My parents own a dog (golden retriever) and anytime I visit weekly, I am always first to take him on a walk or play ball with him. Dogs require attention while cats require space and THEY will let you know when it is time to play.

Katy did a wonderful job caring for my cats. She was able to give my cat medication and spent time with them on her stay. I felt much more comfortable on my trip knowing she was there to check in with my furry children.
Katy was a great person to be the one taking care of our fur babies! She was very loving and did an awesome job! She took care of everything we needed her to and she sent us pictures and videos every day. We will definitely recommend her to others! Very, very pleased with her!
The boys had such a good time with Katy while I was away. I enjoyed getting the pictures, videos and updates of how everything was going while I was away. I was even more pleasantly surprised when the more shy of my kitties was approaching and greeting Katy much quicker than he typically does for new humans. Definitely will rebook with Katy if she has availability during my next travels!
Katy took great care of our dogs while we were away! Recommend for sure!

In my own home, I may give my cat too much attention at times. My friends and family enjoy my videos I send of me talking/singing to her and the candid videos that are sometimes captures on my security cameras of our interactions. I always make sure she is taken care of, food bowl and water fountain maintained and litter box clean! She is my baby after all :) For my clients, I would be sure that their furbaby (dog or cat) is greeted by me with love and genuine affection. I would follow instructions left by owners and make sure the pet feels comfortable in my presence. Playtime is always a must (for both) and potty time for dogs!

Temperament, activity level, dietary needs, how to prepare their food, medical issues, vet info location, any sensitive areas on their body that they don’t like to be touched (i.e. behind ears, belly, paws) and other triggers (noises, weather), favorite toys or games they like to play, potty regiment, where are treats located and how many to give at a time.
A typical day
Take them outside to play and run around (per owners permission of course); play with toys, TALK to them and acknowledge them; and of course, give them lots of loves and cuddles. While all new furry friends can be shy towards meeting new people, cats tend to be more timid than dogs so just being aware of their space and letting them decide when they want to come to you and not forcing that presence onto them. Speak softly and quietly.

Availability
I have owned a pet of my own (Magnolia Rose) for the last 8 years and I allot 15 minutes in the morning to check water, food and scoop litter before leaving for work. And of course - give her a treat! When I get home, I allot 30 minutes right away to play with her since I have been gone and treat time!
