Hello, I’m Katy . I’m a professional pet care provider and Dog Groomer . I do have respectful, dog savvy children ages 10-18 who will be in my home after 4pm on weekdays and throughout the weekend. Over the years I’ve found myself catering to dogs with anxiety, fear based aggression and other challenges. I only ask that dog owners are up front and honest about their dog’s behavior . I live near lots of local parks and trails and absolutely love hiking Texas Beach with my canine friends . I provide compassionate, patient , loving care to all pets who enter my home , whether for a day or a lifetime .

Dogs are walked on leash only . A small fence area is in the side yard for one on one training and enrichment only. I do crate all dogs if I must leave my home during a boarding for the safety of the dog.

I need to know if your dog has allergies or is under the care of a veterinarian for any health conditions . I also need to know whether or not your dog has any type of leash reactivity or any kind of aggression so we can consciously avoid triggers and manage undesirable behaviors .
A typical day
We will be walking around the Byrd Park and James River Park System as well as my neighborhood located in the west end of Richmond . I do not have a fenced yard, so dogs are strictly walked on leash . We have a small pool and life jackets for summer fun. We take field trips to a local indoor pool located inside of a vet’s office as well. I do have a small fenced area we use for enrichment and training for one on one time .

Availability
I’ve hosted a small play group in my home for the past 4 years. We take 2 pack hikes daily with additional potty breaks as needed . My primary focus in pet care is providing adequate mental enrichment and physical exercise for each dog .
