Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and began taking part in their care at a young age. My mom is a vet tech so learning about animals was a part of our everyday life. I started pet sitting in high school and ran my own pet sitting and dog walking business in Indianapolis, IN for three years, until I moved. I dog sat in many homes downtown and on the north side of the city for dogs and cats of all ages. I’m also an equestrian and comfortable caring for farm animals. I’m currently traveling quite a bit and open to pet sitting in various locations. My home base is in South Bend, IN where I visit my ailing father for extended periods.

Breakfast and dinner will be served in accordance to your schedule because routine is so important to our furry friends. I’ll also stick to your walk schedule if that’s part of your routine, as well as anything else your pet is accustomed to while your home. I’m able to administer oral medications and make other accommodations discussed ahead of time.

I’d love to hear about your pet’s personality and preferences in general and any special information. What are their likes and dislikes and their habits? Any quirky behaviors I can count as normal for them?
A typical day
I make sure to get up at the time your dog is accustomed to and get outside first thing and on a walk if necessary. After breakfast we can play and/or cuddle (or not) depending on the pet’s preference. If the pet enjoys car rides, they can join me on any appropriate outings. Otherwise, I love to spend time outside, especially if it’s sunny and love having a furry friend to keep me company. We can play fetch or tug or just enjoy the outdoors together ?

Availability
I’m able to spend most, if not all, of the day at home with your pets, as my schedule is very flexible most of the time. I can easily adapt to your pet’s schedule so they have as little disruption and stress as possible during your absence.
