Pet care experience
I'm Kei (they/them or he/him pronouns), and I've lived around dogs since I was a child. Currently, I have a smart little Poodle mix named Lukas. My old family dog, a senior mini Schnauzer mix named Toffee, lives with my dad, but I get to visit her sometimes. My former family dogs included a Rottweiler/GSD mix named Hana, a Brittany named Russel, and a Yorkie named Buddy. Even as a child, I always read books and magazines about dog care and behavior, and I continue to read about them regularly to this day. I began working with other animals by volunteering at a neonatal kitten rescue in my hometown in 2013, and in early 2016, I knew I wanted to continue such work and started in the Petco chain. I now work there as a dog trainer, so I've worked with many sizes and ages of dogs. I've been training with Petco since November of 2016. Because I work full time as a dog trainer and don't have a lot of availability, I'm focusing on doing drop-in visits and walks right now. I promise to give your dogs my full love and attention during my booking -- once we schedule it, I'm committed, and I'll treat your dog like my own during our time together.

I've worked with all sorts of breeds, from Yorkies to Pit Bulls. I don't let breed stereotypes get in the way, so I'm comfortable with any breed you may have, as long as the dog itself isn't aggressive toward strangers. Before caring for your dog, I'd like to know the dog's typical behavior and home routine (for the time of my visit). If it's a walk, I'd like to know how your dog reacts to other people and dogs, or if there are any particular routes to take or avoid. I'd also like to know if your dog has any resource guarding issues, so I can make sure we can avoid any negative experiences.
A typical day
The most important thing to me is that your dog will be happy and comfortable with the care I provide. For some, that might involve some cuddles, and for others, that might mean a play session. During walks, it may mean a fast-paced jog or a leisurely stroll. I guarantee that I will cater my visit to your pet's individual needs so they will be relaxed and happy.
