Pet care experience
Hi all! I am currently working as a Vet Tech in training at Hopewell Animal Hospital! I simply love to serve animals and their families. I was a Special Education Associate in Des Moines, Iowa for 4 years and moved to Louisville June 2020. During my time in Des Moines I cared for many dogs and cats from 2 months to 13 years old in the comfort of their own homes! I am so excited to meet my new city’s animals and their families! I would love to provide additional references if interested!! I am the proud mama of 2 beautiful rescue mixed pups both almost 5 years old and around 85 lbs and our matriarch cat who we have had since we found her 7 years ago. I am extremely passionate about the non-human members of our families and have cared for a variety of animals since I was 6. Let me care for yours too! Thanks for your time! Katie was great with my pup, Blue. She took wonderful care of her and was very accommodating when I had to adjust my booking.
Through a dog owner, we were so fortunate to find Katie to care for our cat in our time of need for a pet sitter. She is a true animal lover and cared for Vivian, as she would her own pet! Upon meeting Katie, we were immediately confident Vivian would be safe.
Katie cares for our pets like they are her own. Our dog has stayed at her home and she constantly updated us on his activities with her own animals, as well as, how he was adjusting to his stay with her. She even has come to our home to look after our three cats. She sent updates and videos of their activities while she visited with them. She sat with them, helped them enjoy time outside in their enclosure, and even administered medication on one occasion while we were out of town. She is always the first person we call when we need pet care - even if it is just one day! We know she will make sure they are safe and well-cared for while we are away!

No breed preferences but I do like to know whatever a dog parent might think necessary to let me know! I know my dogs are characters and I love them for it but it IS nice to know before meeting!

Any thing you and your animals love is what I’m here for!! I typically will ask what the daily routine is and try to stick to that but add in additional play, stimulation/games and treats (as per pet parents permission)
