Pet care experience
I absolutely love cats and dogs - they bring such joy and unconditional love and I would be honored to take care of your pet children! I've grown up with dogs all my life and have been dog-sitting for others' pets for at least the last 20 years, anywhere from a miniature Yorkie to 100lb dogs, including recently adopted shelter dogs and puppies. I've stayed over with dogs for one night or over two weeks at a time and have stayed over with cats for several days or done check-ins for 1-2 weeks at a time, so I'm flexible and open to helping you focus on what you're doing while knowing your pet is well taken care of. I am allergic to cats, so I do not host them in my own home but I LOVE them and would be fine staying with them for a few nights. I do my best to make sure my charges are entertained, exercised, and well-loved. I will absolutely treat your pets as if they were my own and have references if needed.

Katie stayed at my house for 3 days / 2 nights to watch my foster pups Rory & Tess. I felt comfortable with her stay in my home an also having her look after the pups. She made sure to walk them , love them, keep them hydrated and fed. She even kept my plants watered as well. Her price was great and I appreciate how available she was last minute. I would definitely use Katie again. :)
Katie did a fantastic job taking care of the dogs and the house! She took them on walks and sent lots of updates. They seemed very happy when we got home and the house was exactly as we left it. We will definitely use Katie again!
Katie was a FANTASTIC dog walker. The only reason we don't use Katie anymore is because we moved. She was great with our dog. She started walking Nora a month after we got her and was great with her behavior adjustments (Nora is a rescue). She was also really flexible to our schedules and gave plenty of notice when she would be unavailable (which is not often! I think there were only 2-3 days a year she took off.) She even turned on our AC for us when the building finally kicked it on while we were at work (definitely above and beyond!)

I love caring for pets in their own home because they are most comfortable there and I want to make their time away from you as stress-free as possible. For daycare in my home, I live in a one-bedroom apartment in the suburbs and the complex is very dog-friendly with lots of grassy areas. I'm also across the street from a park and many quiet roads for walks. My only request for daycare is that your dog rarely barks as the walls can be thin and I try to respect my neighbor's time at home.
