Hi All! I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Specialization in Companion and Captive Animals. After graduating, I accepted a position as a daycare attendant at a dog boarding facility. As a daycare attendant I provided day and overnight care to dogs, completed daily cleaning routines, monitored health and behavior of dogs, and handled and restrained dogs. I was later promoted to supervisor and as such I made meals for dogs, monitored health of dogs and followed established procedures if symptoms of illness arose, provided medical treatment to dogs, monitored behavior of dogs and followed established procedures if concerns arose, assessed behavior of dogs, ensured facility was clean and safe, and ensured customers, coworkers and dogs were safe. I recently moved from California to Arizona. Immediately, I became involved with the Pima Animal Care Center (PACC). As a PACC volunteer dog walker I walk dogs for both physical and mental exercise, reinforce sound leash walking, socialize dogs, and provide limited positive reinforcement training. I successfully completed requirements for the American Red Cross online course Cat and Dog First Aid. I learned how to check vital signs, how to conduct preventative care, and how to recognize and provide first aid for the most severe emergencies. I am the proud owner of two Australian Cattle Dog mix rescue dogs named Cooper and Millie. We love being outdoors walking, hiking and going to the park. My dogs are my best friends.
