Pet care experience
I have 9 years of experience in caring for dogs/puppies especially those with separation anxiety. I’m great with puppies as well since I have a lot of energy. My current family dogs are a rat terrier puppy and a senior mini schnauzer terrier mix so I have experience with a variety of dogs. Lots of pitties, poodles, weims, basset hounds, chihuahuas, german shepards etc— overall large variety of terriers and hounds.

Katie is such a wonderful dog whisperer! She walked and cared for my new pit rat terrier mix who is a rescue with some behavioral issues. If she can handle him, she can handle any doggo that comes her way. We will be using her all the time from here on out!

I was going out of town and I needed someone to take care of my dog. I asked Katie, my neighbor and great friend, to dog sit my mixed terrier Destin. They asked me if Destin had any medical conditions or allergies that they should about so they can care for him properly. I mentioned his separation anxiety. Katie also asked if Destin had any favorite toy(s), so they can know what would sooth them. Katie was very cautious with Destin, he has a lot of energy and can be a bit stubborn. When I came back from my trip, Katie told me how Destin threw up a few minutes after I left. She took care of his upset stomach and gave him his favorite toy to cheer him up. She kept my dog healthy and happy while I was away.

As every dog is case by case, I will ask what their personality is like, if they have any triggers or comfort items. Once I know, I can make intuitive decisions based on your dog’s individual needs. If they are anxious, I can calm them down with a familiar activity or attention; If your dog is very energetic, I can take them for longer walks; I can provide long walks as well

For activities, I will walk your dog around the neighborhood or can take them to a neighboring town so they can smell new things. I will also play with them whether it is frisbee, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek to bond.

I’m a full-time college student, but take courses online! I have a part-time job in the evening so morning-afternoons I’m completely available & even when I work my shifts are 4 hours 3 times a week so I wouldn’t be away often.
