Caring for animals has been part of my life since I was a toddler. I've helped care for cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters and rats. Our family didn't get a dog until I was 12. I took responsibility head on by walking our dog, groomed her, fed her and taught her tricks. I've worked at a veterinary hospital as part of the kennel staff. While there I learned proper cleaning techniques, how to safely handle anxious animals, bathe animals, deal with behavioral issues & manage multiple dogs in a daycare setting. I have taken classes at UNL senior level for Animal Science with a focus in companion animals. I do have puppy experience since we got our labrador as a 9 week old puppy. Getting her through the puppy stage was a frustrating but very rewarding road. I truly love everything about animals and couldn't see myself being without them!
