- Bandit is a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Essex, MA
I have had Bandit for three years, rescued from a shelter in Florida when he was around 1.5 years old, and now he is the most spoiled pup. He loves to play catch with tennis balls and basically any toy uu can throw! He is a herding dog which means he chases other dogs and animals "herding" them in the direction he wants them to go. To prevent nipping when he herds, I trained Bandit to always carry a tennis ball or similar sized toy in his mouth. Bandit is also a big fan of dog beaches but will give you sad eyes while getting a bath. He is allowed on all furniture in my home but if he's on the bed and you shift he may hop to the floor or his bed. He can hold his bladder up to 8 hours but HATE doing it so I usually take him out every 3-4 hours so he can get some play time and stretch his legs!
