Pet care experience
I'm a dog mom to a cute old Yorkie, Lucy, who's friendly with new dogs and comfortable with sharing her home. Recently decided to pursue dog sitting full time and it's been amazing! I'm great with older and younger dogs (no yappy puppies, I love them, but Lucy HATES that puppy energy)! I was raised with all kinds of weird pets and I genuinely love animals. I used to be an Elite Tasker in the Pet Sitting category of Task Rabbit, and can provide numerous positive reviews and references! Whether I'm just walking your pet, or they're staying with me, they will be treated like they are one of my own! Please note that I am currently only available to do drop ins for cats, and am limited on overnight stays (small dogs under 20lbs and low energy, better for my dog). If you know you have a vacation planned, please let me know at least 2 weeks in advance, so I may plan to accommodate. I can usually do drop in visits for cats at least once every day, so feel free to reach out for scheduling. My roommate, partner and I are also fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but to stay cautious, please understand if I keep a short distance from you at pickup/drop off! Thank you, and I look forward to meeting your fur baby! PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICES IN MY HOME: My dog is my child, and her care is absolutely part of my routine! Please do not request me if your dog is any of the following: •High energy •Food aggressive •Excessive barker (dogs that bark at normal things are fine, ie doorbells, strangers, etc) •Doesn't play well with others, or know how to respect boundaries •Food thieves are fine, I can make it work! •Medium energy dogs on a case-by-case basis •Low energy puppies on case-by-case basis, but they must be house broken or able to use pee pads. Your pets are treated like family in my home! Allowed on all the furniture, sleeping in my bed (or one of Lucy's many beds around the apt), and usually getting lots of attention and treats. Please let me know if your pup is prone to accidents! It's totally fine, i just need to prepare for it.

Katie is great! My dog is shy around new people and dogs but quickly warmed up to Katie and the other dogs in the pack. She’s great at communicating and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her.

Triggers, anxious behaviors, and any physical ailments would be the most important things to know! Also, feeding schedule, allergies, potty schedule, on or off leash time are things I'd like to know. If your dog is easily startled or an excited pee-er, please warn me so I can keep them out of the carpeted areas of my apt!
A typical day
I live blocks from Alta Plaza park and walking distance to Alamo Square, and love taking walks over there with my pup! I'll usually try to find a nice park to take a stroll through, and no off leash time unless specified by the owner!

Please note the following dates I will have my calendar blocked off for my vacations: 5/7-5/16 6/6-6/9 8/23-9/4 I work part time in the evenings 1-2 nights each week and do pet sitting the rest of the time! Doggy day care is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with potential for the weekends as well. Dog boarding can be done any day of the week, but only if your pup is okay alone, either crated or left to hang out, for up to 4 hours. Please check in with me to book dogs with severe separation anxiety, so I can ensure they will never be alone when they're here. Thank you so much for supporting my business and trusting me with your fur baby! I'm truly so grateful that I get to do what I love every day! 🐾🐾 **With the dog influenza virus going around, I just want to confirm any pups coming into my home are up to date on the bordetella vaccine. I've had a lot of clients asking lately about any precautions I'm taking with this going around, so know that I'm ensuring my pups are all healthy and up to date on vaccines, and we're avoiding busy dog parks until there's more info on what's causing the virus and ways to prevent transmission. I'm also making sure everyone is healthy and not showing any cold symptoms, and keeping my dog fountain fresh with a frequently changed filter and clean water daily. If you have any questions or concerns just let me know!
