Pet care experience
I grew up in a dog household my whole life. I joined Rover in college because I missed having a dog around so much! I’m so glad I did, because it gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful dogs and was the perfect placeholder until I was ready for my very own dog. Now, I have Timo and we can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I can assure you that I will take the best care of your dog because I know how special of a role dogs play in their human's lives. By "best care", I mean multiple walks every day, free roam of my apartment, and as many belly rubs as desired. A dog's company is like no other — I can assure you that Timo and I agree on that.

Katie provides the best care and communication. My dog absolutely loves staying with Katie-it is easy to see in the photos:) I feel 100% comfortable leaving my dog in Katie’s care when I have to be away.

Katie was very quick to respond to communication and willing to work with my dogs needs. She was also very kind and accommodating when I needed to cancel at the last minute.
Katie and her housemates were awesome! On short notice she was able to accommodate a 9 night stay and my dog seemed to absolutely love it. He’s been sleeping for 10 straight hours now so I know he got lots of love and attention. I would highly recommend Katie.

In my own home, I allow my dog free roam (he’s earned it!) and would be happy to offer the same privilege to your pup as long as you don’t anticipate any issues with that. If you would prefer they be crated, I am also practiced in crate training. My dog is allowed on all my furniture … how else would we cuddle?? And there are so many toys to play with that I almost twist my ankle from stepping on one at least twice a day.

In order to ensure a mutually enjoyable experience, I would like to know your dog’s tendencies with regards to: activity/exercise, potty schedule, eating routine, and energy level. As much as I love puppies, I do ask that any dog I board in my home is potty-trained to avoid any accidents or messes.
A typical day
Timo and I have a pretty good routine going: a walk in the morning, potty break and playtime around midday, and then a longer walk or a trip to the dog park in the evening. I’m lucky to live only 10 minutes away from nearly all of the great dog parks MPLS has to offer! On weekends, my life revolves around my dog. This means extra walks, extra cuddle time, and sometimes even two trips to the dog park in one day!

I work from home 2-3 days a week, so will be able to offer either complete or partial supervision throughout any weekday. If I need to leave for work, I make sure to come home during my lunch break and take Timo out for a potty break and playtime.
