Hi I'm Katie! I've been caring for my personal dogs for over 15 years and have been dog walking / sitting through Rover for over 5 years. I adore dogs and feel happiest when I am outside hiking / walking with dogs. I currently work as a dog trainer. When your pup stays or walks with me, they'll be having fun and learning something too! We will play, go on fun walks and adventures, and work on basic manners and life skills. I am comfortable caring for all ages, breeds, and sizes.

Katie has watched my pup in the past and was phenomenal! Very caring and went above and beyond to meet his needs. I recently had a last minute boarding cancellation that put us in a pickle, as we would have to be gone the entire day for a funeral. Katie was booked for boarding but was able fit him in for a walk despite being last minute. I am so grateful, as I knew he would be excited to see her, and I wouldn’t have to miss part of the service to travel back. Sincerely grateful and beyond satisfied with her care.
Katie watched Asher a second time for the past 10 days or so and he had a blast with her. I never worried about him and she sent photos and updates while I was away. He absolutely loves her dog Phoebe and I almost felt bad making him leave 😅 I highly recommend Katie!!

I treat any dog staying with me as my own -- the dogs safety and happiness is my top priority. Dogs are fed separately, play is monitored, and your dog will be on a leash unless in a fully fenced in area, or until I establish a solid recall with your dog. I live across the street from Robb field and I have a 50 foot long line so your dog can enjoy off leash freedom in a safe environment. Your dog must must must be crate trained if you want to board your dog with me (regardless of dogs age)! For safety reasons, I never leave dogs unattended loose in the house if I am not physically present in my house.

Are they crate trained? Do they have any reactivity or triggers? Do they chase cars? Are they afraid of anything (skate boards, loud noises?) Are they dog reactive? Are they human aggressive? Do they have solid recall? Do they have separation anxiety? Do they have prey drive towards cats, birds, squirrels? Do they resource guard food or toys? What is their favorite toy / game? Do you have any specific rules for them you want me to maintain (i.e. sitting at corners, wearing a specific collar during walks, etc). What tools do you use (i.e. e-collar, harness, prong, slip lead, etc).
A typical day
I love to take my dog Phoebe on long hikes, walks, or trips to the beach. I live walking distance to OB dog beach and a short drive to fiesta island. Depending on your dog and their temperament, they may join us for off leash adventures at the beach, hikes up in Cleveland National Forest, or long walks through the hills of Point Loma.

Availability
All dogs staying with me will fit into my routine. I wake up early before work to to take care of my dog Phoebe. I live across the street from Robb field and we go there daily to play and walk around the fields. I finish work at 3 and then spend time with Phoebe, walking, playing, training. On the weekends we spend the days hiking, swimming, and exploring new places. Another dog fits easily into my schedule, and I will ensure to give the dogs some solo walks / time with me.
