Katie took such good care of our cat. He got lots of play time and we loved looking at all of the pictures she took every day. Our kitty usually hides from strangers but he LOVED Katie! She’s a cat whisperer! Thank you so much, Katie!

We have always used family or friends for housesitting, so this was our first experience using someone we didn't know. Katie knocked it out of the park caring for our blind dog, Lucy! Katie was conscientious from the get-go. We talked by phone, and she also stopped by the house to meet us and Lucy in person. Our communications and meeting with her immediately put us at ease. She advised that she had cared for other blind and disabled dogs, and her references provided additional reassurance. Just before leaving town, we noticed a sore on Lucy's foot. Early into our trip, this sore kept Lucy (and Katie, I'm sure) up much of the night. Katie let us know that it seemed to be bothering Lucy, so we scheduled a visit to the vet. Katie graciously took her to the appointment. It's a good thing she did - Lucy ended up having swollen lymph nodes and needed to be treated with medication. Katie put me on speaker phone during the vet visit to make sure I was informed. She also purchased food for Lucy (which I had forgotten to get before leaving town) and other supplies. She administered Lucy's medication and sent us daily pics and updates (so appreciated!). Lucy quickly recovered under her watchful care. We are very grateful for her expediency and compassionate care. Unfortunately, our A/C also quit working while we were out of town, so Katie endured a very warm night in our house before the outside temperature dropped and made it tolerable. She met with the A/C repairman in our absence and took it all in a calm and collected fashion. We felt really bad that Katie had to deal with all of these issues in our absence, but she took it in stride and never complained about all she had to deal with. In sum, Katie is a consummate professional! We would trust her with Lucy and our home anytime and will not hesitate to use her again!!!
