Katie is a fantastic pet owner. I've watched her cats for years, and they always receive the highest level of care. I would love to be reincarnated as one of her pets. When they added a dog to the mix, Katie was very considerate of how it impacted all the animals, and set them up for success. She loves all animals and will treat them like her own. Katie is, without a doubt, the biggest dog lover I know. She treats every dog like she's never met any other dog like them before. Even in mid-conversation, if there is a dog near, the dog will win both her attention and affection until out of sight. Her relationship with her own dog, Bernie, is so strong. He adores her. Follows her, watches her, waits for her to give a signal. She knows when he just needs someone to play with; which she will run around the backyard, work on tricks, encourage his "puppy zooms," and will play on the ground for hours with him. She also knows when to be responsible, constantly working on Bernie's social habits (being respectful to other dogs, being able to settle when out on a patio or at a brewery, and working on loose leash training). And if she has to make a choice between her social life or her dog, she will 100% of the time chose Bernie. She is professional, honest, and compassionate. There is no one else I would rather have taking care of my animals at home.
