My name is Katie and I have been a dog owner for about 15 years. My fiancé, Jack, has been a dog owner his entire life, and has even participated in training hunting dogs. We recently adopted our first puppy together, a Schnauzer Lab mix named Gunner, who loves to run and play with other dogs! He is extremely friendly and loving towards all dogs, and makes a new best friend every where we go. I work from home full-time, so I can provide tons of attention for your dogs! We also take frequent walks AND trips to Hagen Dog Park (weather permitting: we do not visit the dog park during high-heat days or when it is raining), so you can be assured that your dogs will get plenty of exercise when staying with us. We know that finding people that you trust enough to leave your dogs with can be really tough, but we will treat your dog like our own. And believe us, our dog is spoiled! My fiancé and I are so excited to host your dogs in our home! We are huge dog lovers and Gunner will be so happy to have new friends to play with!

I'm new to Rover, but already a big fan! Katie is friendly, enthusiastic, intelligent, reliable, and above all patient! She had our three Havanese dogs, one of them a puppy(!), to stay for 4 nights. Our meet and greet went well: her own dog was friendly, interested in our dogs, and it appeared that everything would go smoothly. And it did! Arrival was chaos with three dogs. The first thing our puppy did was have an accident on Katie's hall rug. Katie took it all in stride, and assured us that everything would be fine. We had already gone over the dogs' requirements, which are documented in their profiles, so there is no need to worry about forgetting any details. Contact information was also exchanged prior to drop off. Katie kept us updated throughout our pups' visit with pictures and messages. Pickup went smoothly: everything was packed up and ready to go, the dogs were happy and healthy, and the only money to change hands was a well-deserved tip because the rest was taken care of in advance through the website! We will definitely ask Katie to help us out again!!

Most importantly, does your dog get along well with other dogs? Our dog is moderately high-energy and loves to play, so he can be a little much for some dogs. Does your dog chew furniture or shoes? (We just want to know, in case we need to keep a closer watch.) Does your dog dig? (Again, we just want to know so we can keep an eye out.) Is your dog potty trained?
A typical day
Daily 30+ minute walks around our neighborhood, visits to the local dog park (Hagen Dog Park), as much play time as they can handle with our puppy, a decent-sized fully fenced backyard, tons of love and attention! Our profile says "no dogs allowed on furniture", but we actually do allow dogs on the couches by invitation.
