Pet care experience
I've always loved animals. From a very young age I grew up with big dogs, and my love for them inspired me to go to veterinary school. I attended the University of Wyoming for 2 years in their pre-veterinary program. I ultimately changed my major, but my love for dogs has never wavered, and led me to become a pet sitter. I love all breeds of dogs, and have over 10 years of experience caring for pups of all shapes and sizes. No matter what they need, I will love and care for your fur babies as if they were my own! Why do I love dogs? It's impossible not to! They provide us with unconditional love, and no matter what kind of day you're having, they're happy to see you. I pet sit to spend time with animals and to help out other dog lovers. I lost my dog Reese, my best friend, 8 years ago. Pet sitting helped my heart heal and I hope to have another pup of my own in the future. You and your dog will love me because I'm caring, funny, and kind-hearted. This is more than a money-making endeavor for me, I like building relationships with dogs and their owners. I care for the pets like they are my own. Like our furry friends, I can always find the lighthearted side of any situation--if they could laugh at my jokes I'm sure they would! I also am sensitive to what dogs need, so you can trust me to have your dog's best interests at heart. If you have any other kind of furry friends, I'm happy to care for them too! I have experience with cats, lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish and any other small pets you might have. Just let me know if any other animals need care! Although we really liked Katie, we'd reached out for an update while she was housesitting and didn't hear back. After several attempts over a period of 6 hours one of us was about to head for the airport to get home and would have missed our son's wedding, but finally heard from her. Having been given reason that seemed avoidable to us, we were anxious about the care of our pups for the remainder of the weekend.
Katie did an amazing job during our trip. The cats were very happy when we returned. Katie was the right sitter for us and she went above and beyond for what we asked of her.
Katie is awesome and the dogs loved her. So pleased to have found her so I have peace of mind when I need to travel.
Katie as cared for my large breed, senior dog twice now, and we've been very pleased. She stays at our home, and always leaves the house better than she found it. Our dog is happy and well-cared for when we get home. And Katie sends regular updates to let you know all is well.

I treat your home and your pets with respect. This means your pets will always be cared for and given all the attention and love they need. As for your home, I will clean up after myself and leave your house in a great condition. If asked, I will even do light household chores while you're away!

I love all breeds! I would prefer to meet your dog(s) prior to staying at your house with them, that way I am able to see their temperament, how they interact with their family, and what some of their daily routine is. There's enough anxiety for the dogs when their parents leave, let alone trying to figure out who the other human in their house is. It's important to me to keep things as "normal" as possible with your fur babies.
A typical day
Play fetch, go for walks, lots of belly rubs, snuggle time, lots of love, and so much fun! I'm happy to stick to your dog's usual routine so that they stay comfortable!

In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I also work part-time Friday through Sunday. I will have a good amount of time with your pet(s) during the week.
