Pet care experience
I am a certified veterinary technician, with 15 years of professional experience. My medical training spans across multiple species, however I prefer hands-on care for dogs and cats. I can assist with medicating pets, basic grooming (including nail trims), potty training, crate training, and teaching basic commands. Please note that my fees reflect my experience and knowledge. When your pet is in my care, be aware that they will benefit from my having received a top-tiered education and being able to put my skills to use, should the need arise. Think of it like having a nurse practitioner babysit your kids… except I prefer the kids with four legs and a tail 😊 If your pet is in need of higher medical care while you are unable to be present, however my fees are out of your price range, please send me a message. Sometimes, I am able to accommodate extenuating circumstances for pets in need.

Katie is the best! We were nervous leaving our dog for over a week. I thought we wouldn’t enjoy our vacation because we would worry about her constantly but Katie put us at ease. She shared pictures and stories throughout the week and it was clear Flora was just fine and happy. Would definitely 100% recommend Katie and we will be using her services again!
This was our 1st time boarding with Katie and a 1st for Lady by herself. We just lost her sister. Lady had some unexpected anxiety issues I wasn't expecting. Katie did a great job in handling the situation and keeping me informed. She also recommended something to help the next time. We will definitely use Katie again.
If you want the best pet sitter, you found her! I have 3 cats and Katie is the only person outside of my family that I trust wholeheartedly with the care of my pets. She’s detailed, listen to my concerns (even the silly ones), and keeps me up to date with pictures :) What is most important to me is that my cats love her, even my skittish girl!
Katie is the only pet sitter I trust to watch my cats! She is a reliable and caring sitter. I feel comfortable leaving my cats in her care when I’m out of town and would highly recommend her services to anyone!

Our home has a large fenced yard, and our neighborhood is very quiet. My daughter is eight years old and in school during the day. She has been taught from an early age to respect animals’ space, and she is learning to read body language of both dogs and cats. My husband is home sporadically, based mainly on his work schedule. We have three cats of our own. We recently lost our first dog (leukemia), two kitties (medical complications), and bunny. I treat others’ pets how I treat my own. Be prepared for tons of photos when I’m caring for your family members- I enjoying showcasing the fun we are having!

A self proclaimed cat lady, felines are my jam. When it comes to dogs, I have a special place in my heart for large and giant breed dogs, but all are welcome! (My daughter loves when we are able to care for the toy & small breeds; they’re her favorite!) Prior to watching your pet, I’d love to know his/her quirks, likes, and dislikes. I also need to know if your pet has any aggressive behaviors (especially dogs on walks) to avoid any room for problems.
A typical day
As a Florida transplant (originally from Indiana), being able to be outside year-round is amazing! I love exploring the area, while also caring for your pet. I enjoy walks, fetch, having photo sessions, teaching basic commands, and snuggling!

Availability
Scheduling should be based on your needs, however I am a mom of an elementary school-aged daughter, so her schedule may influence my drop-in times on a day-by-day basis. **Please note: if you are requesting your dog(s) to stay in my home, you must be certain they are good with cats! I will no longer be accepting boarders who do not have a proven history of positive exposure to cats. I have attempted “uncertain” dogs in the past, which has always resulted in excessive barking/frustration for the dogs and terror for my cats. As this is their home, too, I will be extremely serious about taking their comfort into consideration. Basically, if your dog is friendly towards or simply ignores cats, they are welcome to be boarded within our home. Otherwise, please request a housesitting or overnight service from me. If it falls outside of my typical availability, please request boarding service and send a message with the situation. I will check my schedule and, if available, adjust my services to allow overnights in your home. Thank you for understanding. 💜💜
