Katie stayed with our puppy for one overnight while my boyfriend and I spent the night out of town. She arrived at our apartment a bit later than she said she would in the evening (by about 2 hours or so), which was frustrating as we could have left later if we knew she couldn’t get here at the initially agreed upon time. Our puppy ended up spending most of the afternoon in his crate and then was only out for a couple hours before bedtime, when he’s crated again. She sent a few photos, but there wasn’t much communication about how he ate, despite mentioning to her that we’ve been having issues with him finishing all his food before we left. I let her know around what time we’d be arriving back home before we left. She then messaged me on our way back home in the morning, asking what time we’d be home. I told her the time (actually about an hour earlier than we had planned to be). She asked if she needed to stay at our apartment until we got there or if she could go. I began to feel like we were inconveniencing her, and told her she could leave but asked that she crate our puppy before she left. She did not. Overall, Katie did seem to have great chemistry with our puppy and I think she genuinely enjoys animals, but I wish there had been more communication and punctuality on her end. I felt like she took her time getting to the booking and then was rushing to leave. It just didn’t inspire a whole lot of confidence that she really wanted to be there.

Katie was great with our two doggos. She was very responsive and was great about keeping us updated. She also took good care of our apartment while we were gone for a weekend. We would definitely be happy to have Katie take care of our dogs again!
