❤️ anxious pups & have vet tech exp

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Kae. I am a lifelong pet owner, having grown up on a horse ranch with a variety of different animals. I have two dogs and three cats of my own currently (see my pics to check them out!) all of which have some sort of specialized needs either due to old age, past abuse, or psychological development. With that in mind, I can only do visits where I come to you rather than you bringing someone to my. My corgi, Minnie, is a rescue with high anxiety and PTSD. She tries her very best but isn't always comfortable around furry friends that aren't immediate family. For eveyone's health and well-being I will gladly come to you! Beyond being raised in a rural farm community where much of the pet's medical care was done on our own, I also have a year of formal training as a vet tech that includes behavioral and new puppy training. Additionally, being raised around horses and a wide variety of dogs I am fully comfortable with pets of any size and love large breeds. It likely helps that I am 6'1" so its not as difficult for me to manage them during walks and play time.

K is very reliable and provides prompt communication. She is walking out 2 60lbs dogs and one is dog reactive. She has been able to handle the sassiness and redirect when needed.

Kay was amazing with our anxious pup :) She sent pictures and updates over the weekend, and made us feel comfortable leaving him (and our home) in her care. We would definitely book with her again. Thank you!!

Kae was incredible with our new rescue Roscoe! She sent great updates to us the whole weekend and made us feel so at peace. She even took him to the dog park for the first time and he did great! She was also great at giving him meds and working on his crate training. We cannot wait to her back at our house!

As I mentioned before, all of my furry kids have their own specific needs so their care is also very specific. We have 3 cats all over the age of 10, one who has kidney disease, one with early dementia, and the last with cogitative disabilities. This requires that everyone has their own meal time in separate rooms (fed twice per day) to ensure everyone gets the proper medications and prescription foods. This means that if your own pets have specific dietary needs I will be more than comfortable following the instructions and understanding the importance of those instructions. I also have two dogs - one Maltese poodle mix (Ami) whose 12 and a corgi/chihuahua mix (Minnie) whose 5. Ami loves cuddles and yells at me to sit in my hoodies whenever I'm wearing one. She's never been much for walks or the dog park, preferring people to other four-legged friends. I just make sure she sits with me as much as she wants while I work throughout the day. To reiterate, Minnie is a rescue who has PTSD and high anxiety. She's improved vastly since we welcomed her into our home 3 years ago but I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing your pet into my home for both of their safety. It would be unfair and possibly traumatizing to one, if not both of them. She tries really hard to be good, but sometimes she gets triggered and doesn't understand what's going on around her. That said, she is a high energy breed so we've worked to accommodate her needs. Everyday she gets at least one 45+ min leashed walk down to the park for one of her favorite pastimes: zoomies in the baseball diamond. We also make sure we play lots of fetch and chase indoors while my spouse and I work remotely. Since we don't have a fenced in yard and live on a busy street none of my pets go outside unleashed. We have yard lines for each of them that are staked next to the front door and watch them while they are outside for potty breaks.

If they have any special needs (food allergies, physical disabilities, etc) or issues that get in the way of them being their best selves (like anxiety, aggression, fearfulness, etc). This wouldn't impact my decision to take them on as a furry friend, but moreso help me plan for how to greet them, interact with them, and ensure they're needs are met

A typical day

I love playing tug, catch, and hide & seek with their favorite toys and teaching new tricks or going through old ones so they can stimulate their mind as well as their body. Dog parks are wonderful, especially if your puppo enjoys them since its great for socialization and getting some good, long distance fetch in. Between all the playtime it would be snooze time. I work remotely so I would be able to bring my laptop and work while they chilled next to me on the couch (if allowed! They're not gonna be able to trick this babysitter!) I am always down for cuddles and lap time but also don't want them to feel uncomfortable with the attention so I'd make sure to respect their space while in recovery mode.
