I have had family dogs my entire life. We were one of those families that was never without a pup! We lost our sweet Baxter boy to cancer in October 2020. We made it a whole two months before we welcomed a new pup into our lives. Currently, we have a 12 year old cat who keeps to herself, but please no chasing!! And we have Ruthie, a 4 year old, 60-pound lap dog :-) We had our son in Oct 2020. His favorite activity is dropping food from his high chair and giggling as the dogs eat his scraps. It was very important to us to raise our son with large, furry friends! We allow pets on the couches and beds (because who doesn't love a great snuggle?!). We love going on walks in the neighborhoods and on trails. When Ruthie has a friend to play with, she loves to run around like crazy in our fully fenced yard. Professionally, I managed a dog daycare facility for 7 months and learned a lot about dog behavior, training, and general care. While the kennel environment wasn't for me, I certainly loved taking care of the pups and giving them belly rubs, butt scratches, and cuddles.
