Hi, I’m Katie! I moved to Georgia from Nebraska in 2020, I was raised in North Carolina and graduated from Clemson University in 2018. Go Tigers! I have been taking care of all kinds of animals since 2016 and sitting through rover since 2018. I have experience with the care of guinea pigs, hamsters, snakes, lizards, chickens, and aquariums with fish and corals. I have a 3 years old ruby King Charles Cavalier named Biscuit. She is very passive around other dogs and loves humans and children. We have passed Beginner and Intermediate training classes at Petsmart and hope to take the next level soon. I will enjoy helping your pup practice any tricks or skills while you are away. I live with 2 other roommates so one of us is always around the house and we have a large back yard with pine needles and grass, a front yard with bark and grass, and our side yard has smooth drainage rocks (lots of different potty surfaces for the picky dogs haha) We live in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful sidewalks and plenty of places to explore. We also have a high-quality camera that we enjoy using to try and get you a "holiday card" worthy picture while your pup is with us.

Katie did take care of our baby boy for second time so well. Squirt love her and his little furry baby who get along so good. My boy start itching so bad and Katie went to store and bought some stuff to control his itchy, such as lotion, shampoo, medicine. She loves our dog the same as her dog, we will get back to her for sure for next time
She is very kind and responsible for dog, and look like my dog was so happy
Our dog Luna stayed with Katie for 4 days and we could not be happier with the care and support she received. Luna and Katie's dog Biscuit became fast friends, and Katie kept us up to date during the stay. 10/10 would recommend her and book again!

While our yard is unfenced, we do have multiple long leads so the pup can hang out with us while we water the plants or refill the bird feeders. Our home is mainly hardwood downstairs, with carpeted upper level and stairs. Your pup will be a part of our little family while you are away. I always feel most comfortable with Biscuit and one other rover client's dog but I am more than willing to sit multiple dogs from the same home.
Information Katie M. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know how your pup does on a leashed walk. How do they react to other humans, children, or other dogs? Our backyard does have lots of squirrels and chipmunks, if that means I need to go out before the pup to shoo them away, please let me know. If you will be gone around a holiday typically involving fireworks please let me know how I can help your dog feel most comfortable. I would appreciate knowing how pup does with thunderstorms, and we can spend the night cuddled up in the bathroom corner if pup needs it! I love learning and feedback, if you have any questions or suggestions please reach out!
A typical day
We enjoy going to local parks on the weekends to disc golf or walk the trails. Biscuit has lots of toys, that she loves to share, so you shouldn't need to bring more than your pup's favorites. We like to give frozen kong treats and slow-feeder bowls to help keep the pup stimulated. If the pup has any medication to administer I will have the schedule written up for clarity and accountability.

Availability
There is almost always someone at home already, so when we have a pup guest they will never be left alone. We like to go on walks around the neighborhood after dinner. We also enjoy just lounging, we will be able to accommodate almost any energy level pup.
