Hello, my name is Katie. I work at a local veterinary clinic in Watsonville and previously worked at an all animal (dogs/cats/exotics) boarding facility attached to a veterinary hospital. I have experience with both small and large dogs. I love to hike and go on adventures with my own two dogs ( a pug and an Aussie ) so I figured what better way to make money than combining the two things I enjoy most! I am open to dog walking or taking your dog out on hikes. Open to discussing pet sitting services as well as dropping by to check on your pet and play with them as needed. I can't wait to meet you! I would like to know of any allergies, medications your pet may take, diseases, problems, behavior issues, fears etc. before walking your dog so we have a smooth, enjoyable time out on our walk. I would also like to know the name of the dog's preferred or current veterinarian and make sure they have up to date tag information as well as a snug fitting collar. I prefer to walk dogs using harnesses as they are more secure and safe in my opinion. I'm open to any breed. It is also crucial that all dogs I walk are up to date on the following vaccines: Distemper parvo, rabies and bordetella. I recommend having them up to date on leptospirosis and lyme vaccines if you would like me to take them on hikes.
A typical day
I love to look up and find new places to walk or hike around where I live. If there is a certain place or neighborhood you would prefer me to walk your dog, that is fine as well. Will take pictures of your dog out on walks and hikes to send to you as well.
